Gordon didn't initially plan to include the voicemail.

She told Good Morning America something spoke to her during last-minute planning, and she decided to play the voicemail.

“I really felt like her energy wrapped around me, and I’m glad that God allowed me to remember the video and for it to be so perfect because it was literally what I needed,” she explained.

It was a beautiful moment.

In the video, the bride stood with her father, ready to walk down the aisle. As a surprise to everyone in the room, they suddenly heard Stanislaus speaking.

According to the caption, her dad said, “I love you, you got this, I’m always going to be here.” After hearing the special message, there wasn’t a dry eye in the venue.

Gordon lost her mom suddenly.

Her mom died unexpectedly from a heart attack at age 41. Stanislaus’ death left Gordon heartbroken, but she never doubted her mother’s love.

“When we didn’t answer each other’s calls, we either texted each other or left a voicemail, just because we’re extra like that,” she told Good Morning America. Including that voicemail in her wedding ceremony just felt right, and posting it on TikTok made an impact.

“I’m glad that even through the video, people were able to feel her energy, like, leaving comments saying how soft her voice was and how angelic it was and how comforting it was for them, even in their [own] loss and their grief,” Gordon shared.
