Mom Posts Series of Bizarre Videos the Day 4-Year-Old Dies — Now She Faces Murder Charges

Nathaniel Porrata had big plans for his family. The father recently moved to a new city and anxiously awaited the arrival of his wife, Tyne Blunt, and their 4-year-old son, Tiuri Blunt-Porrata. But those dreams were shattered on December 8, 2025, when authorities in Wichita, Kansas, got a call about an unresponsive child at River Walk Apartments in Topeka. Emergency responders rushed Tiuri to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead a short time later. Police arrested Blunt, who faces a murder charge in her son’s death.

According to court documents obtained by KAKE, police first took a man named Daniel Martin into custody in connection with Tiuri’s death. He was initially charged with child abuse pending an autopsy report. The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office added a murder charge after receiving the results. It’s unclear what relationship Martin has to the family.

As the investigation continued, police issued an arrest warrant for Blunt. Blunt appeared in Sedgwick County District Court on December 17, per KWCH. Video from the appearance shows the mother acting erratically and breathing heavily. It’s almost as if she can’t comprehend what’s happening to her. Blunt faces a first-degree murder charge and two counts of child abuse in Tiuri’s death.

The news shocked loved ones who couldn’t believe Tiuri had died. “It was just shock, shock that I haven’t even fully gotten over,” Shelby Hashbarger, a family friend, told KAKE. “I had to do a bit of investigating because it didn’t seem real.”

He added that Tiuri didn’t deserve to die, and he wants his killer held accountable. Additional information on Tiuri’s cause of death has not been made public.

“I definitely want justice,” Hashbarger said. “I hope the district attorney does prosecute and brings full justice for Tiuri. I’m not going to forget him. I’m going to miss that little boy every day.”

Porrata created a GoFundMe account to help with his son’s final expenses. He poured his heart out in a gut-wrenching post on the fundraiser site.

“I recently moved to a new city to help restart my family’s life, hoping it would bring us a brighter future. I had just landed a new job, and our finances were finally starting to recover. My soon to be ex-wife and our children were planning to join me at the beginning of 2026, and we were looking forward to being together again as a family” he wrote on the page.

“Any support you can offer during this unimaginable time would mean so much to me. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts and for any help you can provide,” Porrata added.

In a bizarre twist, it’s been uncovered that the mother posted several strange TikTok videos the day her son died. It’s hard to watch them knowing her child was already dead or would be soon. We’re not sure if Blunt’s court appearance was part of an act or if she genuinely felt shocked about her son’s death. In the end, it doesn’t really matter. An innocent 4-year-old died and deserves justice.

A murder conviction in the state of Kansas carries a maximum penalty of death.
