Mom Trying To Protect Her 3 Kids Is Killed in Horrifying Dog Attack

Just days before Mother's Day, a 35-year-old Georgia mom was reportedly killed in a dog attack while trying to protect her children. Courtney Williams was allegedly killed by dogs outside of a home in the 2000 block of Webster Road in Quitman. Police arrived around 4:45 p.m. May 9, but tragically, Williams was already dead.

According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, when police arrived at the home, they encountered multiple aggressive dogs and several minors suffering from injuries. Now, Williams' family is grieving her loss and trying to put life back together for her children.

Crystal Cox, Williams' sister-in-law, posted on Facebook that the mother and her children were at their home when the dogs came over from a neighbor's yard and allegedly began attacking the family.

"With a heavy heart I have to say this my brothers wife courtney Williams cox passed away yesterday, the neighbors dogs attacked her and the kids, her son kayden didn't get away fast enough as he pushed his sister out of harms way he was hurt pretty bad and [he's] doing good they stapled him up his in pain and at my house resting," she wrote.

An 'angel' helped save the children.

Per a second Facebook post by Cox, a man stopped to help the kids.

"[H]ere's is a update on kayden the other two kids are fine shook up and still processing things and doing their best to deal nathan run to school to try and get help but turn back thinking he wouldn't have time to help his other siblings he flagged down a nice man who I'm going to call a angel that helped save them kayden push sissy out of harms way by doing so he saved her but took on the dogs himself," she explained.

The Good Samaritan reportedly took some of the children to the hospital.

Cox explained the man took some of the children for medical treatment before police even made it to the scene.

"The man helped fight the dogs off and manage to get the kids in his truck to hospital this man which we don't know his name is a blessing to my family for with out him I don't know what the out come would have been if anyone knows of this man," she shared. "Please let us know his name we would like to personally thank him."

Williams' son was apparently injured badly.

Cox posted graphic images of the child's injuries on Facebook. He appears to have deep cuts on his arms, legs, and torso, as well as wounds to his fingers and his head.

She explained that the children are staying with her while they recover, and she asked that people keep their harsh words to themselves and refrain from sharing drama "to add to their tragic event they faced and still have more to come," she wrote.
