In 2018, clinical psychologist Dr. Nicole LePera began branding herself online as the Holistic Psychologist. She quickly amassed millions of followers on social media who were attracted to her self-help techniques that seemed to buck conventional practices. As the brand grew, LePera introduced more of her personal life, including her spouse, Lauren Galvin, and their lover, Jenna Weakland.
Things seemed happy online, but a lawsuit filed by Weakland claims that when the throuple fell apart, LePera and Galvin cut her out financially and physically abused her. A countersuit claims Weakland lied, and now the three women are battling to share their truths.
The women began as co-workers.
According to the New York Post, LePera and Galvin hired Weakland in 2019 to help run their social media, and things turned from professional to romantic. By 2021, Weakland was a permanent fixture on LePera’s social media and podcast, and things shifted.
“I am in a throuple. A 3 person committed relationship,” LePera explained of adding Weakland to her romantic relationship with Galvin.
“It’s expanded me spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. It’s been raw. Terrifying. Filled with joy. Filled with tears. Filled with laughs. Filled with so much humbling learning about myself and what it is to be in an authentic relationship,” LePera shared.
Weakland claims she helped make the brand what it is today.
According to court documents obtained by the New York Post, Weakland alleges that she was the driving force behind the immensely popular Holistic Psychologist Brand. Weakland claimed that she appeared in content online, often roleplaying as the child of LePera. Per Weakland, LePera and Galvin promised to share 1/3 of the business with Weakland, but that never transpired. Instead, Galvin allegedly made fun of Weakland’s upbringing, calling her “welfare” and mocking her meager upbringing.

According to court documents, “LePera (a licensed psychologist) and Galvin (who controlled THP’s messaging) used their ‘authority’ to gaslight Weakland and tell her that her concerns were mere projections of unresolved personal trauma she had to deal with,” the suit alleges, “rather than acknowledging Weakland’s concerns as legitimate issues within THP.”
Weakland claimed that during one explosive argument, LePera pushed her down a flight of stairs causing injuries to her ankle and hand.
LePera and Galvin deny the allegations.
In a countersuit, the married couple claims Weakland “used a combination of deception, coercion, and abuse to first integrate into the lives” of the couple, according to LePera and Galvin’s lawsuit, “and then into the ownership.” LePera and Galvin reproteldy called Weakland a “disgruntled customer support worker who brought operational mayhem,” not the co-founder of the business that she claimed to be.
The women deny offering Weakland any money, per the Post, and allege she got more than her fair share of earnings. The women claim Weakland went on a “revenge spending” spree in excess of $1 million. She allegedly spent $20,000 on a vacation to the Bahamas in 2024 and initiated tens of thousands of unauthorized wire transfers.
