A former New Jersey school custodian is facing years in prison sentence after pleading guilty to a disturbing crime. Giovanni Impellizzeri, 27, worked at the Elizabeth F. Moore School in Upper Deerfield in 2023 when he allegedly used his genitals and bodily fluids to taint food and utensils in the school cafeteria. During a court appearance on January 13, 2025, Impellizzeri told the court his intention was to harm children. The details are truly disturbing.
Impellizzeri allegedly posted videos of the horrific acts on a messaging app, and an anonymous tipster turned him in to police, NJ.com reported. In addition to his crimes at the school, Impellizzeri also reportedly possessed child pornography in Vineland, New Jersey. He faces up to eight years in prison for the crimes.

Impellizzeri allegedly put body fluids and chemicals into students' food.
Impellizzeri urinated in mixing bowls, rubbed his genitals and anus on bread, sprayed bleach on cucumbers, and put feces in food while working at the elementary school, according to NJ.com. During his court appearance, he admitted to the actions and said he intended to make children sick. The crimes apparently gave the man sexual satisfaction.
Impellizzeri admitted his job made the crimes possible.
In court, attorney Emily Bell questioned Impellizeri about his job.
“By manipulating the utensils in the kitchen, potentially spraying bleach, other chemicals around, would you agree that that is the opposite of what your job was?” Bell asked, per NJ.com. “And the only reason you were able to do it was because of your job?”
Impellizzeri responded, “Yes.”
Assistant Prosecutor Lindsey Seidel questioned the former custodian’s intent. “You would also agree that by placing bodily fluids around the school and on objects that the children had access to and would use was an unauthorized function of your position as well?” the prosecutor asked. “And your intent in doing all of these things was to harm the children that were going to that school?”
Again, he responded, “Yes.”
The custodian uploaded a video to social media.
An anonymous tipster turned Impellizzeri in to police after he allegedly posted a video and text to a messaging app about what he’d done. After reviewing the allegations, school district officials turned over the information to authorities. Police arrested him on October 31, 2023. The allegations were shocking.
The allegations horrified parents.
NBC 10 spoke to parents regarding Impellizzeri in November 2023. They were both disgusted and terrified.
“I covered my mouth and started crying,” parent Bianca Pierce said. “I had no words. I mean what can you say to a situation where somebody was doing those disgusting things in the school where your child’s supposed to be safe? I felt like I was stabbed in the heart.”
“That’s bodily fluids. That could kill my child,” Shanta Cook shared with the news outlet. “They’re giving us more attitude than answers.”

He pleaded guilty to the charges.
A grand jury indicted Impellizzeri on charges including second-degree official misconduct, third-degree counts of aggravated assault, knowingly tampering with food products, and attempted child endangerment for his alleged actions at the school, NJ.com reported. In the child pornography case, he was charged with second-degree endangering/child pornography distribution and third-degree child pornography possession.
He will undergo a psychological evaluation before he receives his sentence in March. He could spend the next eight years in prison.
