A Pennsylvania teenager’s quick thinking and the kindness of strangers may have saved her life. As a 17-year-old girl jogged along a street in Ridley Township, a man approached her. Nearby surveillance cameras picked up the interaction around 7:15 p.m. on April 23, 2025. The man, whom the teen did not know, began following her and allegedly made inappropriate comments directed at her. Bill Moss and Tina Moss, owners of Euphoria Integrated Health and Wellness, saw trouble brewing and jumped in.
The teenager called out to Bill Moss and acted like she knew him and Tina Moss. Thankfully, he picked up on what was happening and played right along. Bill Moss told WPVI, “She looked over and said, ‘Hey, is that my aunt Rachel?’ And I said yes.”
He added that the teen ran into his wife’s arms and that they took her inside to safety. “This is where she got a chance to break, and she broke here,” he shared. But, it didn’t end there. The man allegedly continued pursuing the girl.
“He followed her directly from the store to the window and banged on the glass. We locked the doors, called the police,” Bill Moss explained.
Christina Pino, the teen’s mom, visited Euphoria Integrated Health and Wellness to thank the Mosses for helping her daughter.
“The first thing that he said to her was, ‘Are you afraid?” Pino told the news station. The mom added that the man’s inappropriate sexual comments made her daughter uncomfortable, and she knew she had to move quickly.
“She just thought, ‘I had to get out of the situation quick,’ and so she said, ‘Aunt Rachel! Aunt Rachel!'”
Pino hugged Tina Moss and thanked her for saving her daughter. Bill Moss said, “We’re just normal people. We’re parents, we just own a store in our town. So, we want to make sure our town is safe and we’re here for you.”
Pino told WPIV she hopes publicizing her family’s story will encourage parents to talk to their kids about stranger danger. Bill Moss said as soon as he saw the girl struggle, he didn’t hesitate. “Protect the kid. Protect the kid at all costs,” he said.
Per WPVI, Ridley Township Police arrived a short time later and arrested the man. He faces a charge of inappropriate verbal contact with a minor. Police did not release his identity.
