Special Needs Woman Robs Parents of Entire Cash Savings & Goes on Party Bender in Nashville

Every family is unique, and so are the people in each family. Different personalities make life fun, but they can also cause stress. Lo McGee is a mom, wife, and doting sister who shares stories about her life on social media. She recently went viral with a story about her sister with special needs, Sienna. She intended to make people smile, but it really didn’t amuse some people. Sadly, some took her silly story and considered it a sign of neglect. McGee then had to take time to set the record straight.

McGee’s sister apparently decided to take off without telling anyone.

In a since-deleted TikTok, McGee explained that Sienna, who is an adult, somehow got into their parents’ safe and took the family’s cash. With the money, she apparently got herself a new cellphone and a ride to the airport. As Sienna started sending texts about heading to Nashville, McGee thought it was just a joke. But when she realized her sister was serious, she wanted to ensure she was safe.

Because Sienna is an adult, the family has no legal say in what she does.

McGee explained that, legally, without a power of attorney or legal guardian in place, her sister, who is over 18, can do whatever she wants. McGee’s family had security chasing down Sienna, but she boarded the plane and landed safely in Nashville. She lived it up in the home of country music.

According to McGee, Sienna sent multiple photos and videos, along with “Kiss kiss from Nashville.” But soon, reality began to sink in for Sienna, who needed help. Eventually, she wound up at a hospital for an IV and some food.

Getting home proved a very difficult task for Sienna.

Although the hospital helped her get in touch with security and family, Sienna missed her flight because she had been shopping at the airport. When she finally boarded a plane, she was thrown off for cursing out a passenger with a dog.

Ultimately, McGee’s father went to pick up Sienna to bring her home. When she got home, McGee said her sister changed her social media profile picture to one of her standing with a police officer who had been watching over her during her Nashville airport extravaganza.

The story struck a chord with many people.

McGee deleted her videos about Sienna’s Nashville trip after someone reported the family to authorities. This disappointed McGee, who simply wanted to tell a funny story with a happy ending, which she explained in a follow-up video. McGee insisted her sister is safe and cared for and is the “light” of her family’s life.

People with relatives who have special needs loved McGee’s openness about Sienna and wished others could just understand the beauty in her story.

“As a mom with 2 sp needs children I really was enjoying your series. Your sister sounds amazing and hilarious,” a mom wrote in the comments.

“Coming from a family with 2 special needs family members (twins) with countless stories as well 😅- I absolutely loved you sharing this story and all the others and it is very clear your sister is very well cared for, loved and beyond,” another commenter agreed. “kiss kiss.”

Sienna’s safe at home and had an adventure of a lifetime for the memory books. Sometimes, even those with the best intentions need to stay in their lane.
