When 17-year-old Ryleigh Gnoski and her 7-week-old baby, Armoni, took off on October 28, 2025, the family feared the worst. The young mom reportedly left her family’s home in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia and apparently didn’t pack much for her baby. When she didn’t return home the following day, her family contacted the police.
The Philadelphia Police Department issued a bulletin stating Ryleigh frequented a home in the 2600 block of South Bouvier Street and might be there with Armoni. Her family told ABC 6 they feared for the mother and baby’s safety.
“I’m worried sick over my great-grandson. He doesn’t deserve this. He needs to be safe,” shared Ryleigh’s grandmother, Kathleen Gnoski.
Ryleigh’s father, Peter Gnoski, told ABC 6 that Ryleigh had very little for Armoni when they left. “When she left, she didn’t really take nothing for him. No diapers, no nothing,” he said.
Family admitted that prior to Ryleigh’s disappearance, they argued. Kathleen Gnoski said after the fight, Ryleigh took off.
“She wound up walking out the house. Walked down the path and sat on the walk crying, waiting for someone to pick her up,” her grandmother said.
Peter Gnoski felt like his daughter could be with Armoni’s father on South Bouvier Street in South Philadelphia. “That’s where the so-called baby daddy is and them two are always together,” he explained.
“Best case scenario would be Ryleigh getting the help that she needs and for us to take care of that baby and give that baby the life he deserves,” he added.
Jennifer Lynn, who appears to be a family member, shared that Ryleigh and Armoni were found safe.
“Thank you to everyone who shared and kept an eye out for Ryleigh and baby Armoni. We saw them both today and were able to check the baby out,” she wrote in her post on social media. “He was also checked by EMTs. Other than being wet and hungry (which we took care of), he is healthy. Right now they are both in the custody of DHS. Please keep your fingers crossed that this all ends well.”
Loved ones shared their continued support and love for the family. “Amazing news! Continued prayers!!” someone wrote in the post’s comments section.
“Glad to hear they are safe,” another person shared. “Prayers that things move in a positive direction moving forward.”
Being a mom is so difficult. Having a baby at such a young age can certainly compound the stress. Hopefully, this mom and baby will find the support they need to live a stable and healthy life.
