16-Year-Old Allegedly Shot 6-Year-Old Girl With Gel Blaster During DoorDash Pizza Delivery

The family of a 6-year-old Georgia girl claims she was brutally attacked during a DoorDash delivery on July 6. Khalani Ogleetree was reportedly riding a scooter outside her Locust Grove home when a driver approached to deliver a pizza to a neighbor. Someone in the vehicle allegedly shot at Khalani with a gel blaster, and a neighbor claims to have witnessed the whole thing.

Nick Patel told WSB-TV he saw a white car pull up and heard the occupants talking to Khalani. The neighbor claims he heard the child crying and watched the car take off. A 16-year-old has since been charged in the alleged attack.

The little girl appeared to be minding her own business.

Patel shared Ring camera footage with WSB-TV that reportedly showed the car with four occupants inside. The neighbor said he noticed the interaction between Khalani and the people in the car.

“These guys, I don’t know what they’re doing. She’s just looking at them, so I think they’re making fun of her, laughing at her or something,” Patel said.

Moments later, the attack occurred.

Khalani told WSB-TV, “They called me a loser, and they said bad words to me."

After the pizza was delivered, someone shot at Khalani with a gel blaster, which startled the young girl.

“And then I hear her crying. She runs for the door like something happened,” Patel recalled. “They zoom off past this walk, make a round about go past over here blowing through stop signs,” the news outlet reported.

The incident terrified her mother.

Shaterica Ellis told WSB-TV she realized her daughter was upset but was confused about what happened.

“She was crying so bad. I didn’t really know what was the problem at first,” she said.

The mom said Khalani panics whenever she sees a white car. “I just can’t believe they would do that to a six-year-old child,” Ellis added.

The alleged shooter was apparently not affiliated with DoorDash.

A company representative told the news station, “To be clear – this individual was not a Dasher and we have deactivated the account that was wrongly used.”

Henry County police confirmed to WSB-TV that a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with one count of simple battery. It is unclear if any of the car's other occupants will face charges.
