Georgia teen Davion Pinkston, 17, was ready to eat on January 24, 2025, and asked his mother to make him something. She was apparently preoccupied with cleaning and reportedly told him she would get to his meal after finishing her other chores.
This evidently wasn’t good enough for Pinkston, and he allegedly stabbed her multiple times with an 8-inch knife as a result, the Augusta Press reported. Thankfully, his mother survived the brutal attack.

According to WJBF, Pinkston allegedly attacked his 46-year-old mother in front of his 4-year-old sister. When emergency responders arrived, the mother apparently told police her son had stabbed her in the eye and the head. The news outlet reported that the mother had multiple stab wounds to her head, shoulder, and hand.
Police arrested Pinkston and took him to Richmond County Jail. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, first-degree cruelty to children, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

The Jail Report posted Pinkston’s mugshot on Facebook, and the accusations received mixed reactions.
Some commenters on the post worry for his mental health. Like this person who wrote, “Praying God gives him the help he needs that’s not normal. He may be suffering with or have a mental illness.”
“I believe he has a mental issue. You can tell he does. I pray for all of them and I pray if he has a mental disorder his mom doesn’t press charges she just get a restraining order for him to stay away from her. Being a mom though that’s going to be tough to not be able to associate yourself with your own child. I pray everything works in all of their favor though,” another agreed.
Others think a judge should give him the maximum penalty for allegedly hurting his mother.
Like this person who wrote, “They need to throw him under the jail. Praying for his mother recovery. Seventeen he needs to be cooking his own meals. This is so sad.”
“He shall be ashamed of his self your mother still on this earth doing her best taking care of Your ungrateful grown behind and this what you do to her he shall be cooking for her she’s a Queen a loving mother she don’t have to be over a stove for him any more youngsters you going to be sorry for your action Weres your heart I’ll keep you in prayer the lord said Honor your mother and father so your days on earth would be longer,” someone else commented.
“I hope he gets help if there is an underline mental illness any one reads this please if you have your mom n dad treasure them with all the love you got I sure miss my mom and my sisters and brothers we miss our mom’s and Dad.”
