A family in Kansas City is mourning the loss of a young mother and cancer fighter. Aria Mia Gonzalez died when the car her friend was driving hit a tree. She was only 17 years old at the time of her death, and welcomed her first child, a daughter, in May of this year.

The GoFundMe page explains that Gonzalez was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, which is a rare form of cancer that affects the bones and soft tissue. She was able to beat the cancer and was in remission until she found out the cancer returned this spring while she was in her third trimester.
"She gave birth to her daughter and had to go through the challenges of being a young mom and battling cancer again," her cousin explained.
"She was a beloved family member/friend who brought immense joy to those around her. Our real life warrior who overcame so many tough obstacles," the GoFundMe stated.
So far, about $1,700 has been raised.
"Your generosity will make a significant impact on helping this family navigate through the difficult days ahead. Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and will go directly to supporting Mia's family during this challenging time," the campaign read.
