Teens Allegedly Chased Mom, Tried To Kill Her Using Knives & Brick Because She Turned Off Wi-Fi

Police in Houston, Texas, say a mother had to fight for her life after her three teenage children allegedly attacked her after upsetting them. The unidentified woman reportedly turned off the Wi-Fi inside her home, enraging her 14-year-old, 15-year-old, and 16-year-old children. When the mother did not comply with their demands to turn it back on immediately, the teens allegedly tried to kill her.

According to a statement from Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on X, the altercation took place at a home in the 3400 block of Barkers Crossing Avenue. A short time later, deputies came to the home following a call about a ā€œdomestic disturbance.ā€

ā€œThe three teens allegedly coordinate a plan to try and kill the mother,” Gonzalez explained in the statement. “Because the mother turned-off the wi-fi, all three grabbed kitchen knives and chased her throughout the house and into the street, attempting to stab her. The mother was struck with a brick.ā€

During the altercation, one of the suspects reportedly knocked down their grandmother, who was trying to protect the mother. Thankfully, neither adult female received injuries during the attack.

Per Gonzalez, ā€œThe three teens were arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. All three were booked in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.ā€

The story has upset many people, including one person who claimed they’d want the case investigated further. ā€œUnbelievable… if I was the detective on this case, I would have the warrant cover the router that way I can check with the Internet service provider, their web search history. Something else is going on here.ā€

Many didn’t understand how a child would turn on a parent so quickly.

ā€œOh my goodness! What on earth is happening in the world?” one person commented. “Parents are being physically assaulted by their own children over the internet. I genuinely don’t comprehend how you and your officers manage to cope with such intense emotional trauma.ā€

Someone else thought this was likely not an isolated incident. ā€œI guarantee you this is not the first time they have attacked her, the grandmother, or someone else,ā€ the person wrote.

Some called for harsh punishments immediately.

ā€œWOW…over WIFI! This is the result of a parent not actually being a parent. They were never taught RESPECT for ANYONE esp. their mother,” one commenter wrote. “And where is DAD? Is this the product of the welfare family system? All 3 need to be charged as adults. Chain gangs need to return too.”

The case remains under investigation.
