As Many as 800 Texas Teens Trash Airbnb Rental, Ending Their Party With Gunshots & Arrests

Chances are, when you’re a teenager, you’re probably going to attend a party or two throughout your high school years that may end up with the ground being covered in trash and the host ending the night trying to make everything pristine for when their parents return home. Now that short-term rentals are a thing, it opens up a whole other can of worms that can be quite disastrous. A Texas mansion that had been rented out turned into a huge party with up to 800 teens and young adults in attendance. When the party was finally broken up, multiple arrests were made and gunshots heard within the vicinity.

A rental mansion turned into a massive party site for over 500 teens after a convenient lie was told.

A house party took place in Celina, Texas, on March 21, 2026, that drew a huge crowd of between 500 and 800 young adults, CBS News Texas reported. According to a post shared March 22 on the Celina Police Department’s Facebook page, Chief John Cullison noted that authorities responded to calls about a large gathering taking place at a residence in the 800 block of Choate Parkway.

A social media post that advertised a party at the home attracted an unforeseen number of teens and young adults. Officers at the scene of the party arrested one teen for driving under the influence and another individual for an active aggravated assault warrant out of Dallas County, per CBS News Texas.

One of the owners of the rental property, Kishore Karlapudi, told CBS News Texas that the residence had been rented out for the weekend through Airbnb to a group of six. Karlapudi said they had no idea about the party plans and noted that the rental allows for no more than 20 individuals in the home.

Well, they clearly broke the 20-person rule!

Unfortunately for the property owners, the partygoers caused an abundance of damage to the mansion.

FOX 4 spoke to Karlapudi, who said the owners were “totally shocked” at what happened that night and the damage that occurred.

“They took all the furniture out from the living space, and they put it in the garage. They took all the wall fixtures, everything out. They broke the wall fixture … the island was broken. The granite countertop was broken because it looks like kids danced on those,” Karlapudi explained to FOX 4.

The spacious four-bedroom home is listed by the Collin County Appraisal District as a part of a $7.6 million dollar property that spans 18 acres, per CBS News Texas. It has been removed from rental listings for a couple of weeks while the damages are fixed.

The raucous party ended in gunshots.

As if there weren’t enough alarming things happening at this party, Chief Cullison told FOX 4 that authorities also received a call about 10 men at the front gate of the property who “had guns, and they were threatening to kill someone.”

About four gunshots heard within the vicinity of the rental property and likely two more where several party goers were parked at a nearby college parking lot, according to Fox 4.

When police entered the residence, they found blood-stained sheets and towels inside, which were concerning, FOX 4 reported. Police estimate that partygoers were between 15 and 25 years old.

An investigation into the party is ongoing. The police chief reminded folks in the Facebook post that “scenes like these highlights the very real risks and dangers associated with large, unsupervised gatherings, especially when fueled through social media and potentially involving underage alcohol or substance abuse.”

Hopefully seeing something like this will offer parents the perfect opportunity to have an open and honest dialogue with their teens about the dangers and unpredictability that often comes when attending parties like these.
