If you have ever been on a sunny beach, you know that it can get pretty hot, so most people will dress accordingly. That normally means things such as swimsuits, casual warm weather wear, and sandals. Those are typical wardrobe choices on a hot day. Most eating and drinking establishments doing business on the beach know that and have pretty lax dress codes so they will attract beachgoers.
TikToker Naomi Tibbles, aka @naomi.tibbles, posted a rant about her experience at a resort in Australia that has her totally confused. Naomi explains she wandered into the Stradbroke Beach Hotel for a refreshment but never got her drink. The hotel allegedly didn't like her appearance and refused to serve her. This kind of treatment has beachgoers scratching their heads.

Naomi was out on a hike.
Naomi opens her rant by telling us she was taking a "mental health day" and decided to hike on Stradbroke Beach. It was a hot day, and she walked pretty far. She was thirsty, as any reasonable person would be after walking in the heat, and she wanted to grab a "watermelon spritz."
She went into the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel for a drink and reportedly sat there for 15 or 20 minutes before anyone spoke to her. And it wasn't a bartender who finally approached her. Instead, it was security.
She knew something was up.
Naomi explains that the security officers were clearly talking about her and eventually walked over and confronted her. "He wanted to have a talk about what I'm wearing," she says.
Naomi claims that the security officer said they have a dress code and that "thongs" aren't allowed. (This is Australia, so she meant the shoes.) She argued that they were regular sandals, but that didn't help her case. He reportedly told her that they were a "family establishment."
She replied, "Yeah, cool. Well, I'm sitting in the bar where there's no children allowed." She claims there were only two children in the whole place, and they were way over in the restaurant.
They asked her to cover up.
Naomi claims the officer wanted her to wear something over her outfit or the hotel wouldn't serve her. She clapped back and told him that they were on a beach and she was wearing beach clothes.
Naomi left the restaurant and started to record her video. She shows us her outfit, and it's fit for the beach. She is wearing a bikini and some see-through pants. It wasn't exactly risqué, but it showed off quite a bit of her body.

So what?
The interaction made TikTokers mad. They couldn't believe an establishment, literally on a beach, wasn't catering to beachgoers.
"[I'd] think 'that's exactly what one should be wearing on an island going for a drink.' You look awesome," one comment reads.
"Looks perfectly fine. Watermelon spritz sounds great," another person agreed.
"What do they expect you to wear to a beach hotel bar? You're more covered up than the girls who ski in bikinis in Aspen in dead a– winter," someone else pointed out.
She went back, and boy ... she's good.
Naomi was not going to let them get her down. She returned to the bar, where someone commented that she was back. She asked if her clothes were OK, and the person agreed her outfit was better. But then she hit them with a total bomb.
"I'm not wearing any underwear, though. Is that a problem?" she says. The off-camera man asks if she is serious, and she replies very simply, saying, "Are people gonna know? Who's gonna know?"
The befuddled man lets her in totally commando, without another word. She gives a wink to the camera, and off she goes.
Naomi, you are the queen. We're not worthy!
