A brief panic set in at the White House on March 27, 2025, but it had nothing to do with President Donald Trump. An intruder somehow made his way through the fence of the North Lawn, but we promise, it’s not nearly as nefarious as you may think. Instead, it was just a fast-moving tiny tot whose parents weren’t quick enough to stop him. The unidentified child infiltrated the gates and was quickly stopped by the US Secret Service, and everyone walked away just fine.
Chief of Communications for the US Secret Service Anthony Guglielmi posted the story on X, writing, “Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers observed a child slip through the White House north fence. Officers quickly reunited the child with their parents without incident.”
Guglielmi shared a viral video from @tylersmith that shows the boy, dressed in a blue hooded jacket, being carried by officers back to his parents. The unexpected guest didn’t appear to pose much of a threat, and the officers even seemed to smile a bit as they helped him find his folks.
Smith wrote, “A kid squeezed through the fence on the north lawn of the White House. Secret Service has retrieved him and brought him back to his parents.”

His post quickly went viral, with 7.8 million views and a lively discussion in the comment section.
One person wanted more info. “I have questions. How did this even happen? Where were his parents before, during, and after it occured?” the person wrote. “This is a child old enough to know right from wrong. Did his parents yell for him to come back? Did they persuade him to go farther? Did they even see him at all?”
One commenter admonished the parents, writing, “Unacceptable. How could parents be so negligent in allowing that to happen?”
But someone else told commenters to calm down. “Lol the comments. always something has to be wrong. nothing is wrong. kid squeezed through the fence (no fence stops everything) and safely returned to parents. this is a feel good story, nothing else,” the person wrote.
Most people keyed in on one glaring observation, and it had nothing to do with politics. Commenters were sure they could tell who was a dad and who wasn’t.
One wrote, “It’s so funny how you can tell which of the secret service guys has kids from this video.”
Many agreed. Like this person who wrote, “First guy is not a dad. Second guy is. Guaranteed.”
“First Secret Service guy, no kids. Seconds Secret Service guy, years of practice. Don’t be awkward like the first dude, get married and have kids,” someone else suggested.
