When we take our children to school, we hope they will be educated and nurtured. We also hope their teachers will love and care for them while we are away. Parents trust that our kids will return to us in the same condition as when we left them, but that is not always the case. Sure, accidents happen, and kids sometimes end up a bit worse for the wear after a long day at school. As long as they were not intentionally hurt, parents tend to brush it off.
But when a child appears to have been bullied and physically injured by another child, for some parents, all bets are off. X user @laniblake posted images of her daughter from before and after school, and the girl has noticeably less hair in the after photo. The post blew up with 8.5 million views, and people are hot.

The child appears to be pretty young.
It is unclear how old the little girl is, but she seems young. Lani posted a photo of her daughter in the morning, looking fresh and ready to go to school. Her hair was perfect, but when she picked her up hours later, something was different.
“IMAGINE sending your child to school like this & picking her up with her hair pulled from the roots!!!!!!! From being dragged by another classmate (a boy) while the teacher sat on her phone!!!!” she wrote.
The photos are alarming.
The little girl’s hair was in neat braids when she left, but when Lani went to pick her up, a giant chunk of hair was missing in the back and her braids were just hanging near her neck.
Shocked comments started rolling in.
“My Daughter Was Sleeping she had no clue he was coming or this was about to happen," Lani wrote.
The mom blamed the teachers and said this happened in the Head Start program, which only works with toddlers. The children are too young to be held responsible.
Parents were ready to fight.
There was no shortage of outrage in the comment section. Many people want Lani to press charges.
"I’d press charges then catch one cause I’m whooping the teacher a–, the little boy a–, and his mama a–," one person commented.
"The amount of law suits id have put out would have the judge shaken in his boots," another replied.
"Idk but somebody’s parents about to get their hair pulled from the roots if I was that parent," yet another person wrote.
Others want the teacher fired.
Many other people suggested the teacher should be held accountable.
"This is awful! I’m so sorry, I hope she’s okay That teacher should be fired for letting that happen," one comment reads, and many agree.
"Omg I’m sorry that happened press charges and sue. That teacher should have been paying attention! Something gotta give," someone else replied.
"This is so sad Get that teacher arrested asap," another person wrote.
Still, someone managed to find fault with the mother.
"It would come out fairly easy because of the way it’s plaited. You can plait weave into hair that short that loosely. Kids fight," one person commented. "Braid her hair tighter and teach her to fight. He don’t even have an advantage yet. They are both preteens. Expecting other people to protect your kid."

The issue seems to be resolved.
Lani posted that at first, the school reportedly would not let her cross paths with the alleged aggressor’s parents, but that has since changed. She wrote, “I’ve spoke with his mom & we’re on the same page respectfully.”
