
Family report there’s been a tragic ending to a disturbing story out of Wyoming. Tranyelle Harshman, allegedly shot herself and her four daughters in an apparent murder-suicide on February 10, 2025. Brailey Blackmer, 9, Brooke and Jordan Harshman, 2, and Tranyelle Harshman herself, died from their injuries shortly after the shooting. Tranyelle Harshman’s 7-year-old daughter, Olivia Blackmer, survived the longest, and was airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City.
Tragically, her father, Quinn Blackmer, posted on Facebook on February 16, that he had lost his second daughter.
Blackmer made a heart-wrenching update that reads in part: “I know this isn’t the update people were hoping for and we are absolutely gutted to make it, but we needed time to process what had happened before we let the world know of the tragic passing of Olivia yesterday (February 15) afternoon at 3:44 pm. The amount of devastation we feel and are going through is so much. Please give all famlies involved our time time and space during this extremely difficult time in our life.”
The devastated father then added that he’s found solace in one detail. “The peace I find is knowing that my babies don’t have to be apart from each other and they can also be with their other sisters,” he shared.

On the day of the shooting, Tranyelle Harshman allegedly called the police and confessed. She said she had shot her daughters and warned she planned to do the same to herself. Per a news release from the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office, Tranyelle Harshman told police exactly where to locate the bodies when they arrived.
Cliff Harshman told the Cowboy State Daily his wife suffered tremendously. “My wife was not a monster,” he explained.
Tranyelle Harshman reportedly suffered from postpartum depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and depression.
“Most people don’t understand how that affects the brain. It’s a chemical imbalance,” he said. “And it can be exacerbated by trying to fix it with medication.”
Loved ones have created a GoFundMe for Cliff Harshman, raising more than $133,000 so far.

“This devastating event has left Cliff and his loved ones reeling in grief, struggling to come to terms with the immense void left in their lives. Your contribution will help alleviate some of the financial stresses, allowing him to focus on healing, reflection, and cherishing the memories of his dear daughters,” the fundraiser reads.
A second GoFundMe created for Blackmer, has raised more than $113,000. A post reads, “Quinn and Katelynn are a young family. They have a 1-year-old boy, brother to Olivia and Brailey, and are all going to have to learn how to endure this tragedy together. They are in need of financial support to take time off work, cope with their loss, prepare a funeral, and cover medical costs for their daughter. No family should ever have to endure the news they received Monday afternoon.”
