What to Know
We are at the point where names like Charlie are more exotic than River or Oliver, but that just means that some parents have done their best to find names for their kids that are even more unique. Someone on X shared a video that a family posted to show the names the kids in their family have. Let’s just say that if you think you’ve heard it all when it comes to totally uncommon kids’ names, you are sorely mistaken.
The parents, Aubree and Josh Jones, have seven kids, so they had seven chances to get it right with the names. But, it seems, it was the mom’s idea to do the absolute most for her and her husband’s children. Maybe she just wanted to make sure they never find a gift shop trinket with their name on it. Who can really say?

I hate parents that name their children like they wont ever grow up and have to live with that name 😭 pic.twitter.com/IDxEDjnv8A

It would be too easy to expect the parents to have named their children after Disney characters, celebrities, or even food. Because for this pair, the names, largely chosen by the mom by the way, are so trendy that they are, somehow, not trendy at all. But really, you be the judge, because the oldest child’s name is actually Trendy.
From there, we have Zaylee, Sunny, Truly, Journey, Rocky, and Disney. Yep, that last one is legitimately named after the multi-billion-dollar corporation. Is that even legal? According to Law Stack Exchange, technically, people in the United States at least are legally able to name their kids after big corporations. Does that mean Disney might go to school with Nintendo or Nabisco? Technically, it does seem possible.
The dad only named one of the kids.
Aubree and Josh have become known for their wild name choices, but in the video, it’s apparent that Aubree is to blame (or, to thank, depending on who you ask) for most of their kids’ names. It was Josh who chose Disney for their youngest child, so if Aubree is a fan, she might entrust him to name future kids too.
In the comments under the X post that re-shared the video with the kids’ names, a user wrote, “What will Disney get for her first birthday? A cease and desist letter from The Walt Disney Company.”
“These are names that you give to hamsters not children,” someone else commented.
Others joked about other names that could be used for kids that originated from big corporations. One user commented, “Here’s my Kids, Viral, Walk, Busch Lite, PBR, and Six Flags Magic Mountain.”
Someone also joked, “The art of using a nickname has been lost on this generation.”
The family also has unique names for their pets.

If the Jones family’s kids’ names weren’t wild enough for you, they also chose decidedly different names for their family pets. But get ready to be a bit miffed again, because some of the names for their pets more strongly align with what you’d actually name your kid. Yeah, I know, it’s a mess.
In a video the family posted on TikTok, they share their pets’ names. We have Ducky, Samantha, Chloe, Snowy, Taco, Lillie, and Sushi. But, Aubree and Josh note in the video, guessing which name is for a kid and which is for a pet is legitimately hard.
So at least they seem to have some self-awareness. Well, to a point, anyway.
