Woman Slams Parents for Having ‘No Control’ Over Child Who Repeatedly Spit on Her

Flying is often a stressful experience. And flying with kids is rarely an easy experience. One woman on TikTok found herself in an unexpectedly damp situation on a flight after the child sitting in front of her spit on her repeatedly.

So she asked people to weigh in on what they would do if they were in her shoes. And as expected, the responses were all over the place.

It was an unexpectedly moist situation

What would you do?

"What would you do?" Monnier asked, and people definitely answered.

"I would have stood up and firmly said that’s enough. Do not spit on me again. Then call the flight attendant if it didn’t stop," one person commented.

"I would have ordered a glass of wine for me and the mom," another person shared.

"I’m a teacher; I would have given her 'the look.' It works every time," someone else wrote.

"Nothing. Kids be kids. Parents battle this. It’s life," another comment read.

Monnier took manners into her own hands

In a follow-up video explaining what happened next, Monnier finished her harrowing tale. "Is everybody seriously gentle parenting these days? Because I’m not about it. Not if you’re spitting in my face," she admitted.

She went on to share that her husband "lost his cool" after the parents seemed to stop disciplining their child. "After the third time my husband very sternly said to the parents, ‘If you don’t get your kid under control, I’ll do it for you,’" she said.

"Then the mom yelled back at him and said, ‘If you had kids maybe you’d understand,’ to which my husband replied, ‘We have five children and six grandchildren, and I promise you not one of them would do something like that,’" she added.

Thankfully, someone stepped in

At that point, a flight attendant heard the commotion and stepped in, asking the parents to put a mask on their child. Monnier explained that moving to a different seat wasn't an option due to them being on a full flight, but also, the spitting incident "caused such a spectacle" that no one close by would have switched seats.

She also shared that the flight attendant gave her and her husband free flight credits for dealing with the stressful situation.
