It's probably not a stretch to say that most teenage boys would like to check out a strip club. I don't think I need to explain why. Most parents don't encourage that kind of extracurricular activity because of its obvious lascivious nature. However, Jake Stoneking's parents not only encouraged it, they helped make it possible — and for good reason.
You see, the 19-year-old has a deadly form of brain cancer called medulloblastoma, and going to a nudie bar topped his bucket list. So he was treated to a night at an Oregon strip club called Jiggles.
By all accounts, it seems that the teen had a great time. However, the owner wishes he had known about the visit ahead of time so he could have put together something special for him. No telling exactly what that would have entailed.
A lot of people may bristle at this idea, but I think these parents are doing a wonderful thing for their child. With a life that may be cruelly cut short, why shouldn't this kid have a night out like this? He has certainly had a rough road. Doctors say he only has three months to live, so he began taking experimental drugs to extend his life. Unfortunately, they are taking a serious physical toll.
It's heartbreaking to think what this poor boy and his family are going through. However, it hasn't killed his spirit. He wrote up a bucket list, which included a strip club, hunting a black bear, getting a tattoo, and seeing a UFC fight, and he is intent on enjoying every minute he has left.
Would you allow your teenager to go to a strip club?
