I'm not much of a sports fan, but man, I couldn't be a bigger supporter of Oklahoma City Thunder player Kevin Durant right now. On Tuesday, while accepting the NBA MVP award, Durant gave the most unbelievably touching speech about his mother, Wanda Pratt, praising her for everything she did while raising both him and his brother alone in a suburb outside of D.C.
He calls her the real MVP. And if you take a look at Durant's tear-inducing speech, you'll see exactly why. Guaranteed: This is the best mom tribute you've seen in a while.

Wow. Amazing how Durant took the opportunity to acknowledge his mother in such a beautiful way during one of the biggest moments of his life. Imagine how this must have felt to her. I'm sure Kevin has thanked his mother before, but it must have been truly the most amazing feeling for Wanda to hear her son listing all the things she did for him and his brother that didn't go unnoticed. He basically dedicated the award to her and holds her responsible for his success. "We weren't supposed to be here. You made us believe, you kept us off the street, you put clothes on our backs, food on the table. When you didn't eat, you made sure we ate." Truly amazing.
Moms, you're all amazing and the things you do don't go unnoticed by your children — no matter how aloof they may seem at the time. And single moms? Wow. You are a rare and fantastic breed. Every one of you deserves a speech like this. Love.
How beautiful is this speech?
