16 Best Baby Shower Game Ideas

Baby showers are wonderful when they're being thrown in your honor. But for attendees, watching onesie after onesie get unwrapped can get dull after a while. One of the trickiest things about planning a baby shower is coming up with things to do to keep guest entertained in between the eating, cake cutting, and gift opening. The best time-fillers? Games! Baby-themed games, more specifically.

There's the perfect shower game for every gathering, whether the group is the type to create teams and start chanting against each other and hold a grudge forever against the winner, or if they're the more sit-quietly and enjoy a laugh because we're all friends kind of bunch. There are games that will have everyone on their feet, games that even the guys can get in on, and games where no one has to leave their seats.

Divide your guests into even teams and give each group a roll of toilet paper. Set a timer for five minutes and instruct groups to wrap a team member in a mock diaper. The team with the most creative diaper wins a prize … and the photos will be priceless.

Baby Food Game

You know your guests have been dying to chow down on baby food. Okay, maybe not, but a fun game is "Guess the Baby Food." Simply remove labels from jars of food, have guest eat mini samples, and the person with the most correct answers wins a prize.

Guess the Baby

Ask guests to bring a baby picture of themselves in the initial invitation. Post all the baby photos on a board at the shower and number them. Have guests guess what photo corresponds with which guest. Reward the person with the most correct answers.

Hand out paper plates to each guest, along with a magic marker. Set a timer and instruct guests to draw a picture of what they think the new baby will look like. The catch? They have to draw with the paper plate on top of their head! Everyone will be in stitches, and the person with the "best" picture gets to take home something fun.

Bobbing for Nipples

Remember bobbing for apples? Same thing, only with nipples! Set up a row of buckets with water and a bunch of baby bottle nipples. Set a timer and the person who bobbed for the most nipples wins.

Pass around a ball of yarn and a pair of scissors. Have each guest cut off a length of string that they think is the size of the mama-to-be's belly. When everyone is done, have guests go up and measure their yarn against the guest of honor's belly. Whoever has a string that comes closest to being a perfect measurement, wins.

Chug-a-Lug

Not the most lady-like of games, but sure is funny. Fill up baby bottles with your guests' drink of choice. Say "Go!," and have your guests drink the entire contents of the bottle. The person who drinks it all first wins. Kinda like a game you played in college.

Baby Price Is Right

Paste photos of baby items on a board and number them. Have guests write down what they think the current retail price is for each. The guest with the most right answers wins. (Spoiler alert: The winner will probably be a mom!)

Pin a photo of a celeb mama to guests' backs, and see if they can figure out who their celebrity is via only asking yes or no questions. The person to figure out who it is with the fewest questions wins.

Give each guest one letter of the alphabet. See how many baby names they can think of that start with that letter.

Blow up a bunch of small balloons and have guests try to stuff as many under their shirts as possible in an effort to look pregnant. Whoever fits the most wins.

Have your guests line up and give each a pacifier to put in her mouth. Whoever spits the pacifier the farthest wins a prize. (Might want to do this outside.)

Pick a bunch of your favorite celeb baby names, and write them down on a piece of paper. Make copies for each guest, and see if they can guess which celeb parent the (often kooky) kids' names belong to.
