Adorable 4-Year-Old BFFs Clap Back at People Who Say They’re Too Different to Be Twins

We don't always want to admit it, but kids are often a lot smarter than the rest of us. This is largely due to the fact that they love without abandon and are completely uninhibited by things that we think of as being logical. In a sweet story out of Miami, two 4-year-old girls are convinced that because of their shared birthdays and their intense love for each other, they're twins. And they're ready to clap back at anyone who says otherwise.

Four-year-olds Jia Sarnicola and Zuri Copeland are probably the cutest best friends we've ever seen.

The little girls met at school when they were both 3 and have been inseparable ever since.

Their birthdays are even two days apart, so this year they had a joint party and dressed up as twins.

Ashley Sarnicola, Jia's mother, told BuzzFeed that the girls are just as close as two biological twins. "[They have] the same vibrant energy, intelligence, heart to take care of others, and both [are] extremely vocal about their needs," she said. "They love to dance and sing."

Ashley said she and Zuri's mom are thrilled with their daughters' friendship and work hard to encourage them to embrace both their similarities and their differences. "We have always taught the girls that being different is cool, and to make friends with new people every day," Ashley shared. "In their class at school, there are six different languages between the 15 kids."

But, at their party, another girl upset Jia by telling her the two girls couldn't possibly be twins because they don't look alike.

"There is no way you and Zuri are twins you don't have the same color skin!" the girl reportedly said.

Jia proudly replied, "You don't know anything, we are twins because we have the same birthday and the same soul."

Inspired by the interaction, Zuri's older sister Victoria tweeted about it.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Victoria said that the duo were upset, but that didn't stop them from clapping back at people who tried to prove them wrong. "They were crying, but they were defending each other," she said. "It was so sweet."

People jumped to the girls' defense immediately.

And many commended them on their beautiful friendship.

Like pretty much everyone else who looks at them, we can obviously see that Jia and Zuri are twins.

Anyone who says otherwise will probably have to answer to the two fiercest 4-year-olds on the planet.
