Maternity shoots often feature a mom-to-be in all her feminine glory. And although lots of moms are all about the cutesy pics, there are a few moms-to-be who aren't afraid to tap into their edgier side. Take, for instance, Sage James, who used the creepy Halloween season, a badass dress, and the sweet skills of her photographer sister Tia Hunnicutt to totally transform the way we look at maternity sessions.
James, who is due in November, got the idea for the Halloween milk bath from a love for the season.
"It is both of our favorite holiday," Hunnicutt tells CafeMom. "That's why we were so excited to put together this shoot."
Even though the overall vibe for the shoot is gothic glam, Hunnicutt tells us that they found nearly everything featured on Amazon and at the dollar store.
But clearly, the economical props didn't affect the beauty and impact of this ethereal shoot.
"She is so beautiful. She made it easy to capture such beautiful images," Hunnicutt shares.
The pair also plan to do a Thanksgiving photoshoot before the little one arrives to fully celebrate the fall season.
