Walmart Is Having a Major Baby Sale This Weekend & Parents Won’t Want to Miss It

If you've got plans this Saturday, do yourself a favor and cancel them now. (Trust us.) Walmart is hosting a Baby Savings Day event at participating stores nationwide between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday — and it's going be worth your while.

The retailer has actually been running a month-long baby savings event online since February 2, but the in-store event ups the ante.

According to Walmart.com, shoppers can enjoy up to 30 percent off their favorite baby gear items all month during the online sale — from strollers to breast pumps to … well, anything you can get your hands on. (Not to mention free two-day shipping on most orders over $35.)

But on February 23, you can also enjoy savings on select baby items in participating stores, along with some extra fun goodies.

Shoppers who swing by the one-day-only, in-store event can look forward to free samples, coupons, demos, and more.

"It’s a hands-on opportunity to demo baby gear, talk to specialists, learn about online grocery pickup and take home samples and coupons for their growing families," a rep for Walmart tells CafeMom. "There will also be rollbacks on select baby items in-stores."

As for those free samples? Think free baby wipes, lotion, and other essentials that are burning a hole in your wallet.

If you're thinking of stopping in, just be sure that your local Walmart is one of the 3,000 stores participating in the event.

You can check out Walmart's full list of participating stores. (And hey, if you feel as if shopping for baby stuff lately has been like lighting all your money on fire, it may definitely be worth a trip.)

But if you can't make it into a store near you, you should definitely check out the online deals while they're still available.

Although a Walmart rep tells CafeMom that all offers are while supplies last and deals may differ in-store and online, they sure do look pretty sweet.

How does knocking $50 off the price of a Chicco Lullaby Playard sound? Or $40 off a Graco 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat?
