20 Humidifiers to Get Baby Through Their First Cold

Humidifiers look like simple contraptions, but they can sure pack a punch when it comes to alleviating cold and flu symptoms. Anyone with a baby knows that when littles ones are sick, it's painful for them but mom, too. They can't express themselves and adults are left trying to help them feel better with a guess and check system — the check being "are they crying still?" or "have they fell asleep yet?" There are a bunch of ways to survive baby's first cold, and humidifiers are one of those ways.

Humidifiers, for those who aren't sure, spray or filter moisture into the air to help clear sinuses alleviate dry, itchy skin or filter out dust or other tiny debris. When baby's symptoms are relieved, the more likely baby is to sleep. And well, that's always the goal isn't it? Besides helping them to feel better of course, but being able to sleep is a sign he or she is feeling a little better. All of it is a relief for mamas.

But here's the thing about humidifiers: there's a bunch of different versions of them out there and each have different or varying functions. Some are small, some are big, some don't need filters changed while others do. Some can humidify a larger room, while others work in smaller spaces.

Now, with the onset of essential oils alleviating many cold symptoms as well, many humidifiers have aromatherapy functions, too. Many here even have nightlight or calming LED lights built-in! Some are made just for babies, but others can work for any member of the family. After all, it'll come in handy should mom get sick, too. Because the sooner she feels better, the happier baby will be, too.

So where does a mom start? Well, she can check this list out and see some of the humidifies currently out there that will help baby sleep as peacefully as possible.
