For some, TikTok has a way of telling what to do and, more importantly, what not to do as parents. A creator by the name of boymomx3_b has some users in agreement of what not to do, at least when you go grocery shopping for your family. In one video that went viral, she shared a grocery haul wherein she purchased 32 frozen pizzas for her family to eat over time. It caused a bit of an uproar on social media.
Afterward, the ’32 pizza mom,’ as some have come to refer to her as, defended her $500 haul in another video. She is a mom of three boys and, depending on how often she goes grocery shopping, a $500 bill might be more common than some users think. Still, for some, it’s not about how much she spent but what she spent the money on for her family’s food.
The viral ’32 pizza mom’ calls out “mean and hateful people” on social media.
@boymomx3_b Needless to say I had to edit a few things out and a bird or two 🤣 #fyp #foryoupage #haters #32pizzasgroceryhaul #Bryson ♬ original sound – boymomx3_B
In her original video where she shows her grocery haul that comes to almost $500, the mom explains that she works full-time and has three sons, and her parents live with her.
With that in mind, it’s natural for her grocery haul to be quite a lot, especially if some of the frozen items are meant to last a long time. That’s not even taking into account any deals or coupons she took advantage of to be able to buy more.
However, that didn’t stop haters from flooding her comments to share their thoughts on what she bought, including the 32 frozen pizzas she holds in one shot in her video.
Some of her other grocery items include boxes of cereal, cucumbers, lettuce, a watermelon, and several bottles of Dr. Pepper. Because there are more processed foods than fresh fruits and vegetables that she shows in her grocery haul, she got some serious hate in the comments.
One user commented, “This grocery haul honestly makes me sad for you and your family.”
Another wrote, “32 pizzas, 16 blocks of cheese…yet only a dozen eggs.”
@boymomx3_b Why do groceries have to cost so much 😩 😅 #fyp #foryoupage #groceryshopping #groceryhaul #samsclub #foodlion #pigglywiggly #walmart ♬ original sound – boymomx3_B
The mom of three posted a follow-up video to clap back at those who have shared nastier comments and thoughts on what she buys for her family. In it, she admits that she did not expect the amount of hate and the kinds of comments she got for her grocery haul.
It wasn’t her first TikTok video. She had posted others that gained traction, some of which included her sharing her process for making dinners for her family, and she even gained some supporters. But the hateful comments are very real.
“I’ve learned a lot about people on the internet,” she says in her video that she posted after the grocery haul. “Some mean and hateful people on the internet. I mean, I knew there was, but I did not realize just how mean they are. I just could never imagine talking to anyone, saying any of the things that you guys are saying to me, to anybody else. Ever. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m honestly debating not even making any videos where my children are in them.”
She doesn’t share in her other video whether or not the groceries she bought, which totaled $476.68 exactly, were for one week or meant to be eaten over time.
Either way, though, keyboard warriors were quick to share their thoughts and comment on what they believe to be poor choices on her part. And apparently, she saw most of those comments.
