Think back to when you were a kid. If you really wanted something, such as an ice cream treat for example, there was probably not a lot you wouldn’t do to get that. Taking a swig of milk in exchange probably wouldn't have seemed like much of a big deal. But what if it was your mother’s breast milk? Would that stop you?
A TikTok mom challenged her 5-year-old daughter to try some breast milk in exchange for ice cream, and the tot’s hilarious reaction quickly went viral.
The little girl eagerly accepted her mother’s challenge.
A TikTok mom of five girls, Erica Perez presented her 5-year-old, Summer, with a challenge. She expressed some fresh breast milk and told the child that if she drank it, she would give her an ice cream bar. Little Summer, precious in pigtails, was eager to sip the milk and get her reward. But once she had the glass in her hand, it was another story.
“It smells yucky, not like the real milk like we drink," she said. Summer looked as if she might be second-guessing herself, but she didn't give up just yet.
It quickly became a game.
Summer realized that her mother’s milk was not like the milk that comes in gallon jugs from the store and became hesitant. Her nervous giggle was contagious. Even her mom couldn't help but laugh along with the sweet tot.
Summer played with a pencil on the table, swished the glass around, and jabbered on about all kind of things, but she stayed away from the milk, clearly procrastinating. Erica then told Summer that she had 20 seconds to drink the milk or she would not get a treat.
Summer goes in for the kill.
Realizing she was just seconds away from missing out on her treat, Summer chugged the milk like a champ. But the look on her face said it all: Mom’s milk was not the same! Summer gagged and coughed, but she was victorious and was rewarded with her ice cream bar.
Though she got the milk down, Summer quickly pointed out that the milk was not what she expected. “It was yucky,” she explained.
Summer got all the love.

Erica posted a follow-up video of Summer eating her treat and candidly commenting on that milk. Her thoughts are hilarious. She said the milk was a mix of things like Cocomelon, strawberries, and spicy chips. “Eww.”
Summer explained that the milk on the table was actually made by her mother and then hit her mom with the ultimate zinger: “She is the yucky cow mother."
Summer, you are a trailblazer. As the oldest of five sisters, you have a lot of people looking up to you, and trust us, they are gonna be impressed by your bravery. You deserve all of the ice cream. And popsicles too!
