There are lots of ways to celebrate your teen's birthday. Maybe you want to have a fancy brunch or a nice dinner. Or invite friends to a fun party to celebrate the big day. And of course, some people like to do things a bit more over the top.
Remember that show My Super Sweet 16 on MTV years ago? Those parties were nuts, with people spending thousands and thousands of dollars on extravagant birthday bashes that included teens often being given fancy cars at the end.
Sure, parents can spend their money any way they want to. Who are we to judge? But where do you draw the line as far as themes and activities? Would you hire a stripper to entertain guests? One mom would, and people think it's crazy. Britain's "cool mom," Carla Bellucci, 41, made people angry a few years back by faking depression to get a nose job on the public's dime, nabbing her the titled of "most hated woman."
This time, she has parents horrified she is planning a lavish party for her daughter's 18th birthday that will include some scantily clad performers. According to the New York Post, Bellucci wrote an essay for The Sun about the controversial event.
Her daughter's birthday party will feature a strip-tease theme.
Bellucci's daughter, Tanisha, is turning 18, and her mother wants to make it a birthday she'll never forget. According to her essay, the party will take place on February 3, and she wants it to be a party that she and the whole village will remember.
She wrote that Tanisha plans to see "Magic Mike" the week before the party, and she wants to continue the theme for her party.
She already has spent some big bucks to secure the entertainment.
Bellucci explained that she spent more than $700 for the strippers, who will serve food and drinks to guests wearing only an apron.
"It won't bother me at all seeing Tanisha around naked waiters, we're more like friends than mother and daughter and I'd much rather she was doing that than necking vodka in a field," she wrote.
She also plans for guests to sip spendy bottles of Dom Perignon, which fit in nicely with the $12,000 party budget.
Bellucci used to entertain on OnlyFans.
After making headlines in 2019 for her nose job and again in 2020 for claiming she spent thousands on veneers and botox for herself instead of giving her kids Christmas gifts, she started an OnlyFans page. She has since quit the site, which is largely populated with people offering explicit adult content, because it doesn't fit her image.
"When I joined there was more prestige and there were celebrities all over it and it was a little bit classier," she told the Daily Star in August. "Now everyone seems to have an OnlyFans and there is no class or quality."
Even though she is no longer on the site, she looks forward to Tanisha joining it.
She thinks that as soon as she is of age, Tanisha will set up her own OnlyFans account, and Bellucci will be there to support her. It may seem like a controversial move for a mom, but she doesn't care.
"Now that she's turning 18 I know that Tanisha will be keen to set up her own OnlyFans account and rather than turn a blind eye I want to be as involved as possible," she stated.
True to form, Bellucci plans to get paid.
If Tanisha uses OnlyFans as a source of income, Bellucci is there to support her daughter, but only after they make a business agreement.
"I am going to take the role of manager and I want a cut!" she explained. "I obviously have experience in that industry and so I can make sure she is safe and not exploited."
Whatever happens in the future, the birthday party in February is sure to be one no one will ever forget. Let's hope it's not one that years from now they regret.
