Mom in Labor Asks BF To Put Chapstick on Her but He Grabs Gloss Instead & Scares Nurses

No matter how much you plan, something is always going to go awry during labor. But not always in bad ways! Sometimes it’s the small, weird, inconveniences that really take things off course. Hopefully you can laugh when things go wrong, just like TikToker @alisasilva did when a small goof led everyone to believe she was having an allergic reaction during labor.

The mom shared the hilarious photo of her “allergic reaction” in a video.

"POV: u ask for a chapstick during labor and your bf puts on red lipgloss. And everyone thinks [you're] having an allergic reaction," she wrote in the text overlay of her video on January 30.

Alisa then moved out of the way to reveal a photo of her from her delivery — and to say that her boyfriend went just a wee bit out of the lines is an understatement.

“This was actually hilarious bc I refused to let anyone touch me,” she wrote in the video’s caption.

The comments section was cracking up.

In a follow-up video, Alisa explained that she was just a little foggy when it was all going down and didn’t realize that when she asked her boyfriend to bring chapstick he would pull out her red lip gloss.

“It was one of those moments where my lips were so crusty dusty that I wanted it all over my lips and around my mouth,” she explained in the comments.

All too quickly, her boyfriend realized that the hospital staff had no idea what was on Alisa’s mouth and thought she was having a real allergic reaction.

"My stubborn a– literally refuses to let anyone touch me and doesn't understand why everyone is asking me if I'm okay or why this mf is trying to touch my face," she wrote in the text overlay of the footage.

"I'm so out of it that my boyfriend is trying to explain the whole situation and that I'm not having an allergic reaction,” she added.

Thankfully, someone took a photo of Alisa and showed it to her, which is when she finally realized what was going on and took off the lip gloss.

Well, at least she got a good story out of it, right?
