Couple Drives 15 Hours To Drop Off 5-Month-Old Baby on Grandparents’ Doorstep Unannounced

When you have a baby, there is something special about introducing your child to your family. For some moms and dads, that first introduction could be in the hospital, but for others, it may be a while. If family and friends don't live close by, months and even years may pass before everyone can get together.

Social media influencers Quincie and Zach Pullen wanted to pull off a big surprise for Quincie's family and their infant daughter, Capri Ella. Capri was born in January, and although her mom and dad had met the baby before, Quincie's sister, Lauren, had not. The young couple grabbed Capri and took a two-day trip from Florida to Maryland to surprise the family by leaving the baby on their doorstep.

They captured video and posted it to TikTok, where it's been viewed 16.6 million times. The love and excitement this family shares is guaranteed to make you smile.

In the viral video, Zach puts Capri by the front door in her pumpkin seat, rings the doorbell, and runs. Her grandpa answers, immediately drops down, and says, "Oh my gosh. Are you kidding me? What are you doing here?"

Lauren comes out next and begins to cry. She had never met Capri and was clearly overcome with emotion. She exclaims, "Are you kidding?!"

Then Quincie's mom joins the family on the porch and yells, "We've been dying!"

Quincie and Zach couldn't wait to get to Florida.

The pair, who post on social media as @quincieandzach, told People they'd planned to fly from Florida to Maryland but decided to drive instead.

"We planned this trip about a week before leaving," Quincie said. "We originally booked last-minute flights but we were too excited that we decided to just drive the 15 hours instead to get there a day earlier."

Surprises are in her blood.

Quincie recalled to People that her family used to go on surprise road trips as a kid, so this just felt right.

"Growing up, we would always road trip to go surprise our families that lived in different states by showing up at their doorstep," she recalled. "I always remember their [reactions] being so emotional and sweet!"

Quincie added, "I feel like it's something that's just built in me to want to surprise my family in my adulthood and now, being a mom, this is definitely something I envisioned that we would do one day."
