If you're a parent, you've probably caught your child red-handed doing something forbidden at least once or twice. It’s just part of being a kid, right? A TikTok dad named Matt, who uses the handle @noi7se, walked in on his young daughter, Faris, with a mouth full of cookie and ready to tell a fib.
She tried to get rid of the evidence, but in the end, she realized it was time to 'fess up. The adorable exchange between father and daughter is a must-see.
Matt caught Faris off guard.
Sweet little Faris was presumably standing on a kitchen stool so she could reach the counter and the cookie in question. You could see a half-eaten treat in front of her.
When she heard Matt ask “What are you eating?” she immediately covered her mouth with one arm and put out the other as if to say, “Stop. Don’t come any closer.”
She responded to her father’s question with a simple “Nothing.”
Matt wanted an admission of guilt, but Faris wasn’t cracking.
At least not at first. Matt didn't give up his quest for the truth so quickly, though, and asked to see her mouth.
Faris looked up with big blue eyes and said, “Hold on a second,” as she continued to chew the cookie with her arm covering her mouth. She blinked several times as she tried to get the cookie down her throat quickly.
Finally, she revealed her empty mouth.
Faris is no dummy; she would give her dad an empty mouth, just as he was hoping for. After she made the final swallow, she opened her mouth and pointed, announcing, “See, there’s nothing in there.”
She clearly thought she had fooled her father, even though the evidence was right in front of her on the counter.
Matt continued to press his daughter for the truth.
After Faris revealed her empty mouth, Matt zoomed in on the cookie with a few bites out of it and asked her what it was. Faris looked at him and proudly announced, “That’s a cookie.”
The conversation continued, with Matt still looking for a confession, and Faris eventually admitted that it was a cookie and that she ate it.
Then the cutie went right for her dad’s sweet spot.
While acknowledging that she ate the cookie, she tldd her dad, “It was being nice to me.”
He asked if the cookie was being nice, and she replied, “No, you.”
Matt then asked if she was trying to butter him up, and Faris looked up and said, “Yeah.”
It was the cutest thing, and although the dad denied it was working, we think that might not be true. He seemed to fall for Faris’ baby blues just like the rest of us.

Fans quickly came to the child’s defense.
“For the record, she said 'I’m not eating a cookie,' and technically she wasn’t at that time,” one viewer pointed out.
“She had me at “Hold on a second,” another person commented.
“I like her. Technically on the first question she was chewing," someone else chimed in. "When asked if she was eating a cookie she answered in present tense. Also the truth.”
We are definitely Team Faris. The girl has a bright future ahead of her, with her quick thinking and problem-solving techniques, even though they might be a bit unconventional.
