Do you remember when you were younger and your period just kind of came on out of nowhere? The thought of that happening at school was terrifying. We all know someone who went through it, and we felt for her then, and we feel for all those girls now.
Hopefully, when your period started, you had support at home to help you adjust to life for the many different stages we go through as girls and then women. We know of one girl who definitely has the best dad around who really comes through when she needs him, even if his efforts are kind of hilarious.
The dad got called into action.
The dad, @k.othabarber, posted a TikTok to tell the story about how he came to the rescue for his daughter in her time of need. The dad explains that he got a text from his daughter’s mother saying that their child got her period at school and he needed to deliver some supplies. Unlike some men we may know, he didn’t complain at all. Instead, the dutiful dad was on it.
“I was like, alright, cool. What do I need to do?” He then repeats the instructions he was given. “She said get her some Always pads with some wings.”
He did exactly what she told him to do.
The dad followed the instructions to a T. Like, literally, just as they were given to him.
Have you guessed what dad did? Because we can hardly contain ourselves. He looks at the camera and makes a shocking confession.
“So I feel like I should tell you all what I did. I got her some Always pads. And I got her some wings,” he explained.
He pans the camera to the passenger seat and OMG! He went to a restaurant and bought the girl some takeout wings. He wins. He wins the prize for being the best dad ever!
He admitted that he was a tad confused.
The dad goes on to explain that he may have misinterpreted the instructions. “But I ain’t know. That’s not what she meant. She meant just the pads that have the wings.”
And bless him, he got wings — all different kinds. We and the rest of the world couldn’t love him more for it.

How could you not adore this guy? TikTok does. His video has more than 500,000 views. He didn’t know what he was doing, but deep down, really, he did. When you have your period, those cravings come on out of nowhere, and we bet those wings probably hit the spot!

“She NEED them wings! You did the right thing ,” wrote another person.
The ladies feel this dad. “You did great! We be hungry on our period too!” someone commented.
Not only is dad a hero, but he is also pretty good with his hands.
The doting dad posts videos on his TikTok account of his work as a barber. He is a pretty talented guy with a great sense of humor. His clients are lucky that they get to sit in his chair for a stylish ‘do and get a couple of laughs on the side.
Dad, we love you. This made our day, and we think that you are one of the best out there. Thank you for sharing, but more than that, thank you for taking care of your daughter and realizing that having a period is natural.
A girl needs to know that her body is doing just as it is supposed to do, and having you support her is amazing. Next time we’re in need, we’re calling you. We like our wings spicy, with a side of ranch!
