For many teens, prom dress shopping is as much a rite of passage as attending the prom itself. But things can get interesting when they bring their parents along for the ride. Disagreements over price, style, and modesty, can quickly sour the experience of browsing for gowns.
With this in mind, one dad's hilarious antics while prom dress shopping with his teenage daughter has gone viral for all the right reasons. Aaron Ennis, who runs a popular TikTok account, recently posted a video of the outing with his daughter, Leilani, and folks can't get enough.

Aaron Ennis posted a video of prom dress shopping with his daughter in late April.
Aaron posted a video on TikTok and Instagram of him tagging along to find a dress for his daughter's high school prom. "She wearing this dress more than once for that much money," he wrote in the caption. "She better find a second prom to go to. "
At the beginning of the clip, Leilani told him, "Dad, you didn't have to come with us to get prom dresses."
He replied, "Yes I did. I gotta make sure you get something with some class that ain't showing all your assets. You know what I mean?"
The dad's antics started with dancing like Tina Turner.
The first dress that caught Aaron's attention on their shopping trip was magenta and covered in sequins. "You don't like this one? You could be just like Tina Turner," he said before busting a move. Meanwhile, his daughter exclaimed, "Dad! Nooo."

Next, Aaron tried to convince Leilani to choose something her granny might wear and pretended to be a mannequin.
"That's what they used to wear back in the '60s," Aaron said while standing next to a bright pink, long-sleeved dress with flowers cascading down the side of it. "They got all of the grandfathers with this."
Leilani replied, "That's why granny got it in her closet!"
To that, Aaron pointed out, "And she married. Happily."
After the teenager turned down a "hideous" strapless red dress with a huge bow comprising its neckline, Aaron kicked up his amusing antics a notch.
"Dad, you are not one of the mannequins. Get away! Stop!" Leilani demanded of her father as he convincingly posed next to mannequins at the store. Aaron declared, "You just mad because I'm slaying."
Aaron's sticker shock over a dress his teenager loved was also relatable.
In another highly relatable moment, Leilani attempted to sell a pricey dress to her dad. "Don't look at the price tag. Look how cute the dress is!" she said as he held up a light pink dress with silver beading.
"$300?! For a dress for one day?" a shocked Aaron exclaimed. "If I get this dress, you're wearing this dress for the prom, Easter, going to get gas, you're wearing this everywhere. You got a job interview, you're wearing this."
TikTok users praised him in the comments for being the 'best dad' and being hilarious in the process.
In the comments, TikTok users couldn't get enough of Aaron's amusing dad antics. "Dad hit the Tina Turner better than Tina Turner," one person wrote.
Another TikTok user commented, "'And she married. happily' took me out ," while someone else quoted, "'You just mad cause I'm slaying' ."
Other folks stuck on all the places Aaron said Leilani would be wearing her prom dress. One person wrote, "LMAO your wearing this to the gas station ," while another commented, "Not Prom, Easter, and Job Interviews ."
Meanwhile, plenty of TikTok users praised Aaron for being an involved dad. One declared, "Perfect example of how all dads should be…making memories."
