All children have a toy that they absolutely love and adore. You know — the one they want to take everywhere they go. For some kids, this can be a blanket. For other kids, it's a doll. Sometimes, it's merely a small trinket. For one little girl, though, her favorite doll is one that might give you nightmares.
Three-year-old Briar Rose went to a Spirit of Halloween store with her mom Brittany one day and ended up picking out a doll that she insisted she "needed." Briar named the doll Chloe, but her mom prefers the moniker Creepy Chloe, and said Briar adores her extra scary doll.
When Briar laid eyes on the doll, it was fate.
Brittany had taken her to Spirit of Halloween, not realizing that Briar would fall in love with the "creepiest doll in the store," she wrote on Facebook. “But I’m it’s mommy and it needs me," Briar told her mother. And so, Creepy Chloe was adopted into their family.
When the family went to Magic Kingdom at Disney World, Chloe had to come along.
"Yesterday we went to Magic Kingdom and Briar insisted on dressing Creepy Chloe in a princess dress and bringing her along. Because creepy babies need Disney magic too I guess?" Brittany wrote.
The mom decided that Briar also needed a good costume, so she put her in her Haunted Mansion attire.
When they had lunch at the Grand Floridian cafe, the staff just loved Creepy Chloe.
The cast member pastry chef came out to meet Briar and Creepy Chloe, because she apparently also loves spooky things. The pastry chef said she "adored" the scary doll, and at the end of the meal, she surprised Briar with a spooky cupcake and a poster of the Haunted Mansion, all made of chocolate.
They even got special treatment on Disney's scariest ride.
When they finally went to the Haunted Mansion ride, the family saw there was a 50-minute wait. But cast members immediately saw Briar in her outfit and with her doll, and they took her to the Servants Quarters. There, the family got to see all of the mansion's rooms and go behind the scenes of the ride.
Briar became a Haunted Mansion caretaker.
The cast members presented Briar with an "Honorary Caretaker" certificate for the Haunted Mansion ride. And, best of all, they escorted her and her family onto the ride without having to wait those 50 minutes. Afterward, she also got to stop and pose for photos with the cast members.
Although Creepy Chloe may haunt Brittany's dreams, it's not so bad having her after all.
"So all in all, I guess the moral of the story is when your 3 year old throws a fit over absolutely needing a super creepy Halloween doll … buy the doll," Brittany wrote.
Having Creepy Chloe along for the ride, the family had one of the best days at Disney World with freebies, tons of perks, and some adorable photo ops!
