Going Down the TikTok Rabbit Hole With the ‘Momtourage’ Hosts

One of the best, and also worst, things about TikTok is how perfectly designed it is make us fall into a total rabbit hole of random videos. We open the app, planning to see some young people with non-creaky knees doing a viral dance (ah, the supple knees and dance fearlessness of youth! We miss it). The next thing we know, it is four hours past our bedtime and we're suddenly an expert on how to do a winged liner or all the reasons why Taylor Swift is secretly in love with Karlie Kloss.

One of the whole points of the always entertaining Momtourage podcast (found in all the places where we listen to podcasts and presented by yours truly, CafeMom) is to remind us that we aren't alone in this whole motherhood thing. That means that, yep, we have some good company when it comes to wasting time on TikTok! Turns out that Ashley and Keri (who is celebrating her birthday this episode) are just as TikTok obsessed as the rest of us.

According to some estimates, there are over 1 billion active TikTok users and the average user spends a whopping a 95 minutes a day on the app. This means there are so many rabbit holes to go down, so we're so down to hear what the Momtourage gals are obsessed with.

From potty mouth Calico Critters to all things Vanderpump, there is so much juicy content.

We used to think that if we really wanted to get to know someone, all we had to do was sneak a peak at either their medicine cabinet or their bookshelves. We've decided that the 2023 version of that is finding out where people hang out on TikTok.

We're not going to spoil the whole episode, but we think it is pretty darn revealing to learn which host is obsessed with videos of Pedro Pascal and cute puppies and who is begging an orange hair plus size fashion queen named Jasmina to become her best friend! Warning, this week's episode may lead to even more time wasting on TikTok. Sorry, not sorry.
