Taking care of someone else’s baby isn’t always an easy task. No matter how hard the parent prepares the babysitter, it’s just not the same as having mom or dad around. This can be particularly challenging when dealing with exclusively breastfed babies. They may give their caretaker a lot of trouble when it comes to feeding.
But sometimes, moms have to be away from their babies and others step up to help. One grandpa, in particular, went above and beyond to feed his grandson in the most hilarious way.

Wendy Rangel posted a video of her dad on TikTok on her page, @xo.wendyy. He was trying to feed his fussy grandson and was at his wit’s end with the crying baby who refused to take a bottle, so he got creative.
The ingenious grandpa cut a hole in his T-shirt right at the nipple and put the bottle through it. He hoped the baby would fall for his little trick and think he was actually getting breastfed.

The grandpa cradled the baby, and he latched on like nothing was amiss. His daughter watched in hysterics as her dad’s plan worked. People loved his ingenious feeding hack, and the video has racked up 8.8 million views.
The video reminded many viewers just how much grandparents love their grandchildren. It’s hard enough to watch our own children cry, but when it’s a grandbaby, forget it.
Someone wrote, “OMG, dads and grandpas will do anything just to see them smile and happy.”
And this person agreed commenting, “I love this 🥰 it’s amazing what grandpas will do for their grandkids amazing.”
This person loved the trick so much, it inspired an idea for an award. “GRANDPA OF THE YEAR,” the person suggested.
Someone else nominated the grandpa for an even bigger award. “Grandpa of the decade award goes to…!” the commenter wrote.
Of course, some people wished they were as ingenious as this family. “Ha ha, I wish I had thought of this trick when my baby didn’t take to the bottle. Well done,” another person chimed in.

The grandpa’s hack is actually not that unusual, and someone thinks it’s a great idea. “That’s cool. That actually works more times than many,” the commenter wrote.
In the end, all that matters is that the sweet little baby feels loved and protected. This grandfather definitely did his best to ensure the little guy was happy.
