Usually when our children get sick, we play a guessing game about the origins of the illness. Was it the snotty-nosed kid you saw at day care yesterday? Did they catch something from the man who didn’t cover his mouth on the airplane? Did they suddenly develop an allergy? Most of the time, the guessing is all we have. But one mom was convinced that when her children began having stomach issues, it was due to a new line of a common and popular beverage for kids.
Tiffany, a 30-year-old mother of eight children, posted a video on TikTok sharing a warning to fellow parents. She recently bought her children a collectible line of Capri-Sun Moon Punch pouches. This collection features glow-in-the-dark packaging. Something about this batch didn’t agree with Tiffany’s children. “I bought my kids these two days ago and they’ve literally been sick having runs, throwing up,” she claimed on TikTok.

At first, Tiffany thought it was some of the food her children had consumed. But she claimed she tested her theory and learned that it was the beverage. In the caption for the video Tiffany wrote, “Capri Sun count your days.” This was all the evidence Tiffany offered. While some didn’t think it was enough, others agreed with Tiffany’s assessment.
“The first red flag is that they’re glow in the dark,” one user said.
Someone else turned the criticism to Tiffany. “Why would you buy your kids radioactive juice in a pouch for your kids?” another asked. One woman claimed she’s had problems with the brand for some time. “I stopped buying Capri Suns when I found out years ago they had mold in them.”
Others had more questions. “Are you scientist? How did you test them?” Other TikTok users purchased the same product and didn’t have any issues. “I picked up a box of those recently for my grandkids and they drank all of them and the kids are fine.”
Even if people questioned Tiffany’s methods, there were those who brought up an inherent flaw in the Capri-Sun design: “If we can’t see through it then we can’t consume it.”
