We’ve never understood why the conversation around birth control and contraception falls so heavily on women. Although women carry the children and bring them into the world, traditionally, it’s a man’s body and contribution that initiate the pregnancy. Yet you won’t hear lawmakers legislating what men can and cannot do with their bodies.
A woman can carry one child in a calendar year, but a man can impregnate many women in that same timeframe. Images from a recent baby shower prove how true that really is and speak to the implications of doing so.

'I guess we're sister wives now,' one of the mothers wrote.
Images from a recent baby shower have the internet in a tizzy. They show a man hosting a joint baby shower for the five women who are carrying his children. The story came to light when one of the mothers, Lizzy Ashliegh, shared the story on TikTok. She posted an invitation for the shower hosted by Zeddy Wills, the father.
Over the video made up of photos of the women at various stages of pregnancy, Ashliegh wrote, “When your Baby Daddy got 4 other girls pregnant at the same time!” In the caption, she wrote, “I guess we Sister Wives now.”

'I would’ve been at the clinic,' one commenter wrote, sharing a reaction to this story.
Ashliegh and her fellow mothers seem to have taken a positive approach to the potentially messy situation, saying that the women and Wills all get along and their families have accepted the situation.
But those groups seem to be the only ones determined to see the bright side. TikTok users mostly do not approve and have not been shy about sharing what they would have done if they found themselves in the same situation.
“H— naw I would’ve been at the clinic,” one person wrote.
Ashliegh responded with a video from a photo shoot. Over it, she wrote, “We love our Baby Daddy! We will not ruin our babies lives!”
Another commenter suggested that everyone involved should be ashamed, writing, “Nah cuz taking a picture with him is crazy.”
Ashliegh responded with another video, writing, “We can’t change the fact that he’s our baby daddy and everything happens for a reason. We’ve decided to work together and our families are supportive of the decision.”
Some people think the whole thing is a skit.
Then there were those who thought the whole thing was a hoax to capture the internet’s attention. Someone suggested that one of the women’s bellies looked fake. Others believe it’s fake as well.
“Y’all got me weak, they’re not pregnant. It’s a skit. The only question is who is the skit for?” one person commented.
Ashliegh is a musician, and many believe it’s a ploy to promote her latest album.
There were others who offered uplifting words in the comments section.
“The only thing that matters here is if he is able and capable of taking care of all of them and their babies. If they like it, we gotta love it,” one person commented.
Others suggested that the women could be a support system for one another.
“It’s actually brilliant,” someone else wrote. “They all can help each other if the[y] really get along.”
Another person perfectly summed up our thoughts on the whole thing, commenting, “Unfortunately, I could never but slay queens.”
