Expectant Mom Couldn’t Stop Laughing During Her Ultrasound & People Can’t Believe How It Looks

They say laughter is the best medicine, but footage from an ultrasound has people wondering if a fetus would agree with this statement. In a video shared on TikTok, a mom couldn’t stop laughing during her ultrasound, and managed to capture what it all looked like on video.

Her laughter was infectious, and everyone around her was laughing, too. Meanwhile, her baby seemed to be having a totally different experience.

The video shows the impact the mom’s laughter had on her baby.

At the beginning of the video, which was shared by Peek At Baby 4D Ultrasound on TikTok, the ultrasound looks fairly standard. However, once the mom begins to laugh, her baby seems to be in for a wild ride. Peek At Baby 4D Ultrasound used the song “Earthquake” by Hardwell to accompany the clip — probably because the baby appears to be dealing with an earthquake.

In the comments, people compared the baby’s experience to a rave or a flight with turbulence.

“Baby’s first rave,” one TikTok user commented after watching the footage.

“‘That’s a lot of turbulence’ ahh baby 💀🙏🏻” a second person wrote.

Others simply couldn’t stop laughing at how the pregnant woman’s laughter looked via ultrasound.

“HAHAHAHAH THATS HOW IT LOOKS LIKE!?” another person reacted.

Many pregnant moms found it hilarious — and then felt a bit guilty.

Many pregnant women who watched the video found themselves laughing in response.

“I’m pregnant rn and started laughing at this and couldn’t stop,” one person commented. “I feel so bad.”

“Not me laughing as i watch this,” another TikToker wrote. “my poor baby forgive me 🤣🤣.”

One person accepted that her baby would simply join the “rave.” “I’m pregnant and this made me laugh so now my baby’s joining in on the rave 🤣,” they commented.

How does a mother’s laughter affect her baby in the womb?

While the TikTok video might make it look like the baby is on a roller coaster or a bumpy bus ride, the mother’s laughter didn’t harm the baby at all. In fact, laughter is good for both mom and baby, as it relieves stress. Additionally, the movement your baby experiences when you laugh helps keep the baby active, according to FirstCry Parenting.
