Mom’s Pregnancy Reveal Backfires After Sneaking a Used Test Under Her Man’s Waffles

There have been a lot of different kinds of pregnancy reveals over the years — some really sweet and some sort of strange (TBH). But the internet placed a recent pregnancy reveal firmly in the gross category after one mom-to-be snuck her used pregnancy test under her partner’s waffles as a surprise and was taken aback when the whole thing left him feeling too queasy to be excited.

A copy of the video was shared on Twitter on December 15 — and started a debate over what is cute vs. what is creepy when it comes to pregnancy reveals.

The video shows a man working at a plate of waffles, while chatting with his partner who is behind the camera.

“Why’s this s— so f—ing hard?” he asked her as he tried to saw through the food.

“Cause it’s got butter on it,” the woman behind the camera, or @oh_yeahitsrobbie2 as she goes by on TikTok, told him.

But to him that made no sense. He told her that butter should make his waffles soft — not hard as a brick.

“I’m saying that it’s got butter so it shouldn’t be that hard,” she explained.

The man finally made it all the way to the bottom waffle and soon realized that his meal had a hidden surprise. Like a happy meal! If a pregnancy test in your food makes you happy, that is.

“What the f— is that?” he asked before prodding the pregnancy test with his knife. “What is that?” he asked again.

“What’s it look like?” the camerawoman asked.

To which her partner asked a very important question: “Why’s it in my food?”

The reveal then sort of went off the rails.

The woman laughed and again explained that it’s a pregnancy test.

“You’re pregnant?” the man asked.

“Baby yes, I just wanted to surprise you,” she answered.

But her partner wasn’t going to let this whole pregnancy-stick-in-my-breakfast thing go — "why you mess with my food with that?” he asked.

The two had a moment of silence and then the man put his silverware down in disgust.

“I was gonna eat good,” he told her, disappointed that he couldn’t finish his waffles.

When the woman explained that he could keep eating, he right away pointed out that there was simply no way — "it’s p— on there,” he said.

“It’s not p—, it’s the drop kind,” the woman responded, which unfortunately, does also use pee, albeit drops of pee that go into a well in the stick.

The two went back and forth over whether or not there really was pee on the pregnancy test, but at some point the woman became exasperated.

“You just ruined the whole thing,” she said.

You ruined my food,” he answered.

In the video’s text, the TikToker wrote that she “didn’t expect his reaction” to the news. But hey — at least she tried to do something unexpected.

"Oh well," she wrote.

The video has been watched over 2 million times and for some people, pregnancy tests and food just don’t mix.

Including the person who shared the video on Twitter, who in a follow-up tweet explained why it really wasn’t sanitary.

“She really thought that because she didn’t pee directly onto the test, there’s none on it,” the person wrote. “You still use a dropper to drop URINE onto it. It’s that and other germs from using the bathroom and handling the test all on that man’s food. Just slow!”

“And he’s right to be upset, that’s his damn food,” another person added. “That bulb ain’t bright.”

“Sooooooooooo……she thought it was intelligent to add pee in the waffle mix?????” a third person wrote.

Other people thought the man’s reaction was all wrong — there’s a baby on the way, after all.

“He’s annoyed she’s pregnant and — while absolutely disgusting — the p—- test is just a scapegoat for his emotions about the whole situation. If she’s in Texas I got $600 for her if she need it,” one commenter joked.

“He’s going around the subject! If he truly loved her and cared to have a baby he would be happy no matter what,” someone else agreed. “I would hate to have him as a man and especially as the father of my child!”

While a third commenter put it this way: "I feel like I'm going crazy. People are really agreeing with the guy??? I get that it's unhygienic and all but who would care about that when they got to know they're gonna have a child? How is that your priority? This is life changing news and you're thinking about food?"

In the soon-to-be mom’s defense, it’s pretty darn hard to come up with a pregnancy reveal when it’s all been done before. But I think we can all agree that worrying if you just ate pee would sour any good news — even if that good news was that you're having a baby.
