Finding out you're pregnant can really knock your socks off, and if it’s a surprise pregnancy — well it could really cause quite the shockwave. Just take it from one woman on TikTok, who shared she found out she was pregnant during a waxing appointment. Yep, your waxer really does know a lot about you. But of all the ways to find out that you're pregnant, this might just be the most unusual.

TikToker Laura explained the whole sticky situation in response to a question one follower asked her recently.
The person wanted to know more details about this whole finding-out-she-was-pregnant-while-getting-waxed-thing, and thankfully Laura (@crimpytoses) didn’t disappoint.
"Story time on finding out I was pregnant during my first Brazilian wax,” she said in the video, which is from a few years ago. Laura described herself as 17 at the time, “super awkward” and “wearing a really short skirt” to her first session.
She recalled asking the waxer if she could keep her skirt on during the treatment.
“Can I keep my skirt on and just pull it up and I’ll take my underwear off,” she recalled asking. “They were just like, ‘Sure.’”
Right away Laura remembered that it was a very painful experience.
“I just kept being like, ‘This is excruciating. Oh my God!’” she said. Laura said she’d had other things waxed before and hadn’t experienced that much pain.
Meanwhile, the waxer kept telling her that the wax 'was not hot — at all.'
To prove that the wax wasn’t steaming hot, the waxer even put some of it on the inside of Laura's elbow.
“Finally she looks at me, she’s like, ‘You’re not pregnant are you?’ And I was like, ‘Absolutely not,’ but then had to be like, ‘When was my last period?’” she recalled.
She later had it confirmed, but to this day her waxer was the “first person to even suspect … because she was like, ‘B— you weak — you weak,’” she said.
People in the comments section had no words.

And some people shared the weird ways that they found out they were pregnant.
"My friend found out from her sugaring lady she was pregnant cause her color changed down there and she was a regular," one person wrote.
"With my youngest I was on birth control, had periods every month and had no symptoms until I was about 6 months pregnant and felt kicking in my tummy," added someone else.
"Well, how I found out I was pregnant is a friend thought she was and wanted to do a test but didn’t want to do it alone so ask me to do it with her," a third commenter chimed in.
Laura later shared that she ultimately decided to terminate the pregnancy, but her video is a good lesson for us all: Sometimes it's best just to shave.
