A parent is rethinking a decision to let their daughter pack her own lunch after finding an alcoholic beverage in her lunchbox. It sounds like the young girl really did have a specific agenda when she asked her parents if she could pack her lunch for school one day. She clearly wanted to pack her favorite snacks and a can of Sprite. What her parents actually found in her lunchbox, however, was something far different.
In a post circulating on social media, a parent shared that their daughter asked if she could pack her own lunchbox. Clearly not thinking anything of it, the parent said “Yes,” and somehow, a Cutwater Lime Margarita, which contains real tequila and has an alcohol content of 12.5% ABV, ended up in her lunchbox because the girl thought it was a can of Sprite.
Obviously, this could’ve been a real problem for the parents if their daughter actually took the alcoholic beverage to school. Luckily, before sending the girl out the door, the parent checked her lunchbox and immediately noticed the drink that could’ve caused all sorts of issues that day. Crisis averted.
It’s unclear how old the young girl is, but based on what the parent shared in the post, she couldn’t understand why her parents took her “Sprite” out of her lunchbox. In fact, the young girl was “sooo p—ed” and kept “asking why I took her ‘Sprite’ out.”
The parenting blunder went viral on social media, and although the situation could’ve been quite serious, lots of people couldn’t help but see the humor in it because the family managed to prevent anything bad from happening.
Reacting to the beverage the young girl packed in her lunch, one person joked that elementary school must be way too stressful these days. “They stressing that baby at school, she just needed a lil something to knock the edge off 😂,” the commenter wrote.
Some adults in the comments asked if this parent’s daughter could pack their lunches. In addition to the alcoholic beverage, she packed snacks such as mini Chips Ahoy! cookies. But, to be fair, “at least she packed apples,” one person pointed out.
Although accidentally packing alcohol for lunch is pretty extreme, other parents have been equally surprised by their kiddos’ lunch choices. One parent wrote, “I’m literally crying cause I checked my baby lunch box last week & he really packed 9 bags of chips and a hot pocket!!”
