Young School Teacher Slammed on TikTok for ‘Unprofessional’ First Day of School Outfit

A teacher named Ms. Williams recently showed off the outfit she wore on the first day of school at what appears to be an elementary or middle school, but many called her look “unprofessional.” Now, folks online are divided by her fashion choice. On August 11, the educator, whose TikTok handle is @thatgirl__peachy, posted a video of her ‘fit as the new school year kicked off.

The typical dress code for teachers is business casual, which is what she appeared to be wearing. Except many called out Ms. Williams for her “inappropriate” attire.

In the clip, a different teacher at the school seemingly filmed while Ms. Williams stood near a classroom doorway. The fashionable educator flashed a peace sign while doing a kissy face pose. She donned a white long-sleeved, button-up blouse with a cream pencil skirt and black, strappy heels.

“Look at my baddie,” the other teacher said. “Teacher bae.” Mrs. Williams added in the caption, “When your a Teacher Bae🩷.”

In the comments, many TikTok users shared strong opinions about the teacher’s back-to-school clothing, with many taking issue with the form-fitting nature of the skirt and her seemingly impractical footwear.

One declared, “Schools need to start enforcing teacher dress codes. You look great but wrong time and place.”

“Bring back professional attire,” another TikTok user wrote, as someone else echoed, “She needs a mentor asap if she’s trying to teach long term. Her outfit is not appropriate for THIS setting.”

“This isn’t a strip club,” a different user pointed out, while a second commented, “Being covered isn’t the same as being professional 🤦🏾‍♀️ Like who are we trying to impress with the skin tight clothes?”

Meanwhile, yet another critic wrote, “A nice pencil skirt would’ve been sufficient why are we wearing club shoes with polyester skirts for the children? 💀.”

Others, however, found zero issue with Ms. Williams’ outfit. One insisted, “She’s fully covered … people are so miserable and jealous.”

A second agreed, writing, “I’m a teacher and I love this. Stop sexualizing everything she’s covered. It’s 2025. You look good boo.”

Yet another conceded, “The outfit is fine, it’s the open toe shoes that makes it look unprofessional.”

Others wondered if the teacher’s body type came into play for those slamming her outfit.

“Is it immodest or does she just have curves…” one asked. A different TikTok user pointed out, “Yall are attacking this lady kuz she thick so whatever she wear her body a problem.”

Someone else shared, “The shoes maybe but be honest a yt teacher with no shape wear this and it’s no problem.”
