Any parent with kids in day care or in school will tell you that their children behave differently and often better with strangers than they do with their own parents. While it’s certainly unfair, there’s a legitimate reason for it. A child in a healthy environment knows that their parents’ love and acceptance is unconditional, so they feel more freedom to do what they want.
This was evidently the case for one foster child who got a little too comfortable with her new dad’s money. And well, his reaction left us laughing and feeling all warm and fuzzy.

DL heard music coming from his foster daughter's room.
TikTok user DL Gang, recently brought Yazzy into his home as a foster daughter. Since then, DL has been documenting their new life together. In one such video, he showed just how comfortable Yazzy has become.
At 3 a.m., DL heard music coming from Yazzy’s room. He opened the door to find the teenager sitting cross-legged on her bed, a crab boil spread laid out in front of her.

Yazzy said she used DL's credit card.
Yazzy was in the zone. She was singing, complete with crab boil juice coating her lips and cheeks. Confused by the scene, DL asked Yazzy what she was doing.
“Yazzy, it’s 3 a.m. how did you get all of this food?” She explained that she used the card he’d designated for emergencies. “Emergencies?!” DL exclaimed. “This is a five-star meal. We all ate dinner.”
Thankfully, DL handled it well.
Then DL got down to the real question: “How much did this cost me?!” With delivery fees, the damage was $80. This is where things could have gone left. But instead of any outbursts from DL, he simply grabbed a handful of shrimp for himself and left Yazzy to enjoy the rest of her meal.
TikTokers said this proves Yazzy is truly comfortable.
DL’s followers took Yazzy’s emergency purchase as a good sign.
“Now Yazzy is no longer your foster daughter she is biologically yours ,” one user wrote.
Another wrote: “She feels safe and loved. I love this.”
Someone else spoke to those early morning cravings. “Baby if a 3 am crab boil craving ain't an emergency then idk what is!” the commenter exclaimed.
And DL agrees. In the video caption he wrote, "If she was feeling a crab boil at 3am then so am i."
