Have your children ever gotten you into a situation that leaves you 100% befuddled? We're not talking about an insane diaper blowout or telling a total stranger they think their shoes are ugly. Think bigger. Like way, way bigger. We mean the kind of stuff that has you heading straight to social media for help because you just can't do it alone. Mayah Hash, 24, sure did, and we can't help but laugh.
She posted about a recent escapade with her 3-year-old son, Paxton, on her TikTok page, @mayahhash, that's racked up more than 21 million views. Maya and Paxton were in his room picking up his dirty laundry, and he managed to lock the pair into the room. Thankfully for Mayah and all of us, she had her phone on hand to record the adventure.

Mayah starts off with a warning.
She gives us 50 million reasons to "wrap that s— up and practice safe sex." Paxton shut the door behind himself and his mom, which didn't seem like a big deal, but what he did earlier left them in a predicament.
"I can't leave the room … where's the door handle? In the living room. You know how I know? Because he f—ing threw it at me earlier," she explained.
Sweet little Paxton tells his mom to "go get it," and she responds, "Honey, I would love to. I can't open the door, my love."
Mayah's got the crazy mom laugh going.
We've all done it. She is clearly feeling a mixture of shock, anger, desperation, and slap-happiness because she knows she and Paxton are stuck. She's laughing on the outside, but inside, she's totally not sure what the heck she is going to do to get out.
"All jokes aside, I really don't know what to do. We are really locked in this room," she said. Her little guy is understandably confused that his mom can't get them out, and she is asking social media for help.
The suggestions poured in.
This isn't as uncommon as you might think, and plenty of TikTokers offered advice.
This mom had a great idea: "my daughter did this and I unscrewed the hinges with a barbie shoe coz I'm a baddie."
And there was this one: "mam…if you look into where the door handle used to be… shud be a square or other shaped hole… that is the turning mechanism."
This person knew the panic all too well: "My son locked me outside one time. In the July heat. No phone. He was rockin inside alone. Had to break in through my bedroom window. He was 2."
And then this MacGyver fan had experience: "Don't ask me how I know this but stick a super thin sturdy object into the metal in the crack of the door and it should open ."
TikTokers loved Paxton.
This little guy playing cheerleader for his mom made a lot of people laugh.
"The fact that he keeps saying come on you can do it ," someone wrote.
And another person joked, "the little 'cmon' i would've YOU COME ON!!!"
This person agreed, "He’s very encouraging in the back ground though ."

So how did this happen?
Mayah told Today Paxton was upset about screen time and somehow got the handle off the door.
"He was mad at me because he wanted to play on his iPad and I said he had enough screen time for the day," she said. "He threw the handle at me and I asked, 'How did you break that?'" she explained.
She's a busy mom, and although she intended to fix the handle right away, it slipped her mind. Fortunately, with the help of TikTok and a bit of ingenuity, she and Paxton were out in about two hours.
"I ended up shoving a clothes hanger in the door and wiggling it around," she told Today. "It took about five minutes" once she figured it out.
Mayah, you are every mom. Trust us, we've been there. Let's sit down for coffee sometime, and we'll tell you about the time we jumped out of the bathroom window after the doorknob fell off when our toddler was alone on the other side. It was a doozie.
