When someone dies, people often look for signs telling them that their loved one is OK. We hear tales of cardinals appearing out of nowhere and butterflies visiting. Sometimes a person reports that a favorite song or TV show comes on at just the right time.
Many actually believe in the paranormal and insist they can see their loved ones on video or in photos. Some people even say they've witnessed a spirit inside their home. A young widow on TikTok recently shared a video from her son's nursery camera, and it is giving a lot of people chills because it appears to show both.
Whitney Allen lost her husband to a tragic accident.
In the fall of 2021, Whitney Allen and her husband, Ryan, a police officer, were proud parents to a son, Jackson, and Whitney was pregnant with their second son, Leo. According to her TikTok account, they were "very much in love" after almost 10 years together.
One day, Whitney got a call that would change her life. Ryan has been stung by a bee and went into cardiac arrest. He had a severe anoxic brain injury, and despite initial hopes for recovery, Ryan died in April 2022, leaving Whitney a widow and single mother to Jackson, 4, and Leo, just 3 months old.
Whitney turned tragedy into inspiration.
Whitney uses her TikTok account to help spread awareness about young widows and to help anyone looking for assistance coping with grief. She has had her fair share of hard times, but she doesn't let that consume her daily life.
In one video, she shares poignant messages about living life post-grief. The song "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten plays, and Whitney's text reads, "There is a redemption story waiting for you."
She is nothing if not inspiring.
Despite being strong for herself and her boys, Whitney misses Ryan and looks for signs that he is with them.
In a viral TikTok with 7.5 million views, Whitney shares a video of her son Leo sleeping in his crib. At first, it seems like an ordinary look into a baby's nursery, nothing special.
But text over the video reads, "My husband passed away on April 7, 2022 when our second son, Leo was 3 months old. Tonight I felt like I saw my husband soothing out baby."
A closer look at the screen shows a small orb seemingly caressing Leo's face and hair. It is incredible.
The idea that Ryan is in the bedroom becomes more convincing as the video continues.
The TikTok is just under a minute, and the light continuously moves slowly up and down on the side of Leo's head. It is almost mesmerizing with the sweet song "Coastline" by Hollow Coves playing in the background.
Whitney scrolls in closely on Leo's head, and the text reads, "Chills. It literally looks like a hand patting/stroking Leo's head."
It is a beautiful sight.
Followers can't believe their eyes.
In addition to millions of views, the clip has more than 850K likes and 15K comments. People can't believe what they are seeing. The comment section is filled with love for Whitney and her boys.
