The most popular girls' name is Lily, which is, of course, a beautiful summer flower, and 6,146 baby girls were named Lily last year. Other popular girls' names in the top 1- include Aurora at number four, Isla, which means "island," at number five, Eliana (which is Hebrew for "sun") at number six, and Iris, another popular summer flower, at number 10.

Gender-neutral names dominated the list

"Unisex names are becoming a trend, as society is increasingly embracing gender fluidity and breaking away from traditional gender roles," Hennessey said in the statement.

The most popular gender-neutral name on the list is Parker, which is the third most popular name overall. Last year, 2,293 girls and 3,792 boys were named Parker. Other popular gender-neutral names include Kai at number seven, and River at number eight.
