For those who don't know, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have had a lot of ups and downs over the past few of years. Between experiencing a stillbirth in 2019, finding out they were pregnant again, and then meeting their rainbow baby in August 2020, it's been quite a journey for this former Counting On couple. Now that Evelyn Mae Forsyth has been in the world for more than a year, proud parents just can't stop posting cute photos of their little girl — not that we blame them, of course. She's adorable!
Expanding their family has been a dream of Joy and Austin's for a while, and seeing them lose their baby, Annabel, when Joy was 20 weeks pregnant, was absolutely heartbreaking. But after the storm comes the rainbow, and now Miss Evelyn is here, already in full toddler mode, and her family is so in love with her — especially her big brother, Gideon, who always has the biggest grin on his face when they're together.

The Very First Photo
This was the first picture Joy shared of Evelyn on Instagram, and it's easy to see how much love her parents already have for her. Joy and Austin are practically beaming here as they cradle their little girl after her arrival, and Evelyn looks so inquisitive, with her eyes wide open — even though she was brand new to the world.
A Sweet Family Photo
How precious is Evelyn in her tiny floral swaddle and matching bow? This is such a sweet photo of all three of them together — all they're missing is big brother Gideon. "She has the best personality, is easy going, and loves to be held!" Joy wrote when she shared this pic. "She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it! Getting to spend that quiet, quality time with her through the night has been SO special!"
A Snoozing Sweetheart
Few things in this world are more precious than a sleeping newborn baby, and this was one of the first photos that Joy shared of Evelyn after she and Austin were able to bring her home from the hospital. "I am at a loss for words, so I'm just going to say … She is perfect, and I love her more than I EVER thought imaginable!" Joy gushed in her caption.
A Little Smirk
Evelyn was only a few days old when this photo was taken, but just from this expression on her face, we can already tell a lot about her personality — and the fact that she already looks so much like her dad! This is definitely a face we've seen Austin make a time or two, and we would love to know what Evelyn was thinking in this moment.
So Much Attitude
A lot of parents can attest to the fact that their babies can have attitudes like teenagers sometimes, and here, it looks like Evelyn was having one of those moments! We're loving all the personality she's displaying in just one look, and we have to wonder what she was looking at that deserved all that side-eye.
All Cuddled Up
This was one of the first photos Austin posted of Evelyn on his own Instagram account, and OMG, she looks so adorable all cuddled up in her pretty pink blanket and matching pajamas — especially with that little hand propped up on her face. "Can't get over the fact that I have a daughter!" Austin wrote in his caption.
Precious Newborn Photos
After Joy got her newborn photos back, she officially announced her baby's name, using this photo to make the big reveal — and she couldn't have made a more perfect choice to share with the world that this little lady was called Evelyn Mae Forsyth. "I wanted her name to be perfect and elegant," Joy said. "We had a hard time deciding but after a few days finally settled on 'Evy Mae' and we think it fits her perfectly!"
A Dad & His Daughter
How sweet is this photo of Austin holding Evelyn? The daddy-daughter bond is strong with these two already — especially after seeing the video of Joy and Austin meeting their baby for the first time. Austin was super emotional getting to see and hold Evelyn, and it seems like they're going to have such a special relationship.
Out on the Family Farm
Joy loves the outdoors, and according to what Joy shared when she posted this photo, it sounds like Evelyn is already taking after her mom in this department. "First time to the family farm and I think she loves it as much as I do," Joy wrote. "Anytime we go outside she just relaxes and takes it all in."
Ready for Her Close-Up
Newborns change so much — even day by day — in the beginning, and seeing this close-up of Evelyn was proof of just how much she'd been changing since she was born. Her little face was just too cute in this photo as she sat in the sunlight. She seems like the perfect mix of Joy and Austin, with her mom's eyes and her dad's nose.
Proud Big Brother
We never had any doubt that Gideon would be an awesome big brother, but it looks like he adores his little sister even more than we expected right off the bat. Evelyn might have been down for the count when this photo was taken, but it looks like Austin was, too. He's got that classic tired parent-of-a-newborn look all over his face. Still, we know he must have been so happy to get those snuggles in while he could, because if Evelyn grows up to be half as active as Gideon is, they may never get her to sit still again once she's on the move!

Even though he was clearly snacking on an apple at the time, all of his focus was on that adorable baby in his lap. "He asks to hold Evy Mae about every 10 mins. I'd say we're all smitten!" Austin wrote in his caption.
Mirror Selfie
Joy shared this selfie from the throes of sleep deprivation, but even though she wasn't sleeping much, she still looked totally adorable — as did Evy and Gideon, of course — and found a reason to smile. "Got outta bed … now to get out of my pjs," Joy wrote. "Evy still has her nights and days mixed up, and it is starting to catch up with me!"
Those First Moments
Joy shared this photo of the first moments she and Austin got to hold baby Evelyn, and just from their faces, it's easy to see how emotional and meaningful it was for them. "Leading up to Evelyn's birth, this is the moment I was looking forward to the most, holding her in my arms for the first time," she wrote. "In the end, it didn't matter how she got here, as long as mom and baby were healthy!"
Brother & Sister
Joy-Anna posted this photo of her kids together in January 2021, and it looks like it didn't take long whatsoever for them to bond. They're all bundled up for the cold weather, and both of them look so cozy (and so happy to be together, of course).
Her First Pickle
Considering what a big deal pickles are in the Duggar family, it's no surprise that an Instagram post was made the day that Evelyn tried it out for the first time. Fortunately, she was a big fan — she fit right in with the rest of the Duggars!
