The one thing you can do to make your period shorter is actually so satisfying

Practically no woman enjoys her period, especially since the women's health industry doesn't usually try to normalize that "time of the month." Luckily, there is SOME good news out there: There's a way to make your period shorter that you most likely won't mind trying.

More often than not, birth control is the only answer to combatting the side effects of periods.

But new research shows these symptoms can be remedied in an unexpected way — no pill required.

According to one *VERY* gracious gynecologist, a woman's period can be shortened with the help of an orgasm.

"Although no studies have been done on this, it’s likely that menstrual blood in the uterus is squeezed out during orgasm,’ says Dee Fenner, M.D., director of gynecology in the department of ob-gyn at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Here's how it works: When you orgasm, your uterus contracts, which helps your uterine lining shed faster — and thus, you have a shorter period.

The study also listed eating your greens, staying away from tampons, and working out as good ways to help reduce the effects of your period.

Sure, it's not 100% foolproof, but why not try, AMIRITE?

Even better, it works the same with or without a partner — so if you're not currently cuffed, just do it yourself.
